The official portrait was unvailed 30/11/07 for NSW greatest team.

MORRIS
SIMPSON
BRADMAN
TRUMPER
MACARTNEY
S WAUGH
MURDOCH
BENAUD
DAVIDSON
LINDWALL
TURNER
OREILLY

I guess the hardest decision was whether to have Bradman or Katich at number 3 !

With all due respect to Alan Davidson, Ray Lindwall and Charles Terror Turner
the greatest of all NSW bowlers did not make this team.

Well spotted BAYMAN OOOOOH AHHHHH rarely has played for NSW.
But then again Terror Turner would hardly have played
for NSW if he was playing these days as well.

got to agree. McGrath has to be in, if we talking contribution to Australian cricket. if NSW, he's robbed by the modern-day program.

And if we talking just NSW record, Michael Bevan's state record is unbelievable.

Agree, would have Mark if it was the team I wanted to watch. If I wanted to win and my life depended on it, probably Steve.

Bevan again for the love of Ablett  And all this in the same thread where some dares to question the status of the great Alan Davidson. Alan Davidson did the hard yakka for NSW and for Australia at a time when the cupboard was bare. Time and again 'Davo' would be forced to bowl yet another spell. Read up on Davo and admire the man, a genuine legend of Australian cricket. To even mention a batsman that parries anything that is remotely short to gully in the same breath as the Lion hearted Davo is something that makes my blue blood boil.

Another to be officially slighted here is Glen McGrath. McGrath is one of the greatest bowlers this country has ever produced and certainly the greatest I have seen of his type since Dennis Lillee. The Terror Turner was indeed a terror in his day but on uncovered pictures imagine what a McGrath can do. So in with McGrath and out with Turner and there's my Blues side.

As for Mark over Steve, purlease...Mark was the 'prettier' batsman but Steve was stronger mentally. No, give me Steve anyday.

Er..carry on!

regards,

REB

He only played 1 or 2 seasons for NSW didn't he. Would be like putting Greg Chappell in the SA side.
