QL V SA PREVIEW 30/11/07 - 03/12/07 GABBA

Last season game 1 adelaide oval

QL 192... DIZZY 5/41
SA 171 ...WATSON 2/13 AND PULLED A HAMSTRING
QL 363....DIZZY 5/69...HOPES 77...WATSON 68 with a runner
SA 104....HOPES 4/25

An easy win by QLD
Our attack after DIZZY + ROFE was COSI/D HARRIS/BAILEY/CULLEN/BOOF
We had QLD 7/77 in the first dig made 192 grrrrrr !
We had QLD 5/162 in the 2nd dig WATSON batting 7 with HOPES put on 139 to 6/301
I need to say no more about that selection blunder NO THIRD QUICK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GAME 2 GABBA

SA 377...COSI 109...DEITZ 97...NOFFKE 6/87
QL 409...MAHER 169...WATSON did not play....LEHMANN 3/4 !!!!
SA 6/346 DEC....J BORGAS 95..COSI 67...BOOF 64...ADCOCK 76*
QL 0/20

QLD won first innings
we batted extremely well this game
J BORGAS the forgotten man
his efforts last year in debut season when ELLIOTT was out of the team
18...07
66...68
38...95
27...01
05...83

408 RUNS AT 40-80 is a very very good effort
He was dropped after 1 lousy game this year thats CRAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !!!!

My next team

MY TEAM [but no hope of getting it]

J BORGAS
ELLIOTT
FERGUSON
COSGROVE
DELMONT
DIETZ
CLEARY
R HARRIS
GILLESPIE
CULLEN
ROFE

Ins..... J BORGAS//DIETZ/CLEARY
Outs....BOOF/ADCOCK/MANOU

With that attack we wont have too chase too many runs
With BOOF retired we need to bowl teams out cheaply
Its our best chance of winning up there at the Gabba

SELECTORS TEAM

J BORGAS/D HARRIS/PLANT/DEITZ one of them to open and BOOF out.

Well wonder who will stand up in this game. Good to see Elliott and Fergusson in some form but both have to go on and get big 100's. The loss of BOOF will be immense, a true allrounder in the end, lets hope the last game has given the side some confidence and something to build on

Something else you can thank that wonderful 20/20 shit for. It's something else the administrators have to squeeze into an already crowded fixture list.

Both Borgas boys failed again against the cricketing powerhouse of the ACT with former SA player Mark Higgs not out at stumps

Ryan Harris should go if Cleary comes back, has had a poor year with bat and ball in both forms of the game. Even the FR Cup where he took 5 wickets he went for 57 and bowled poorly. He is a very good player, but needs to get back in form before he played in the red cap again.

PAFC you may get your wish
TAIT is back in the 12 for Boofman

R HARRIS P CUP STATS
510 RUNS AT 15-93
41 WICKETS AT 44-36
There is something about Ryan that says perservere with him
Maybe at the end of the season we can judge him more accurately

BOOF gone, without his excellent 167 dig, would the redbacks have been in such a commanding position??

Boof deserved to end it on those 2 great innings, but the end has come to soon

he is our best batsmen.

I dont think the redbacks can win another game this season, unless Dizzy and co can knock over the opposition for very little
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Have to agree with you here. Although R.Harris is a good honest cricketer and puts in plenty of effort at this stage I think we would benifit more from cleary. Just think his bowling is a better option at the moment.

Plant now 70 no in 256 minutes  He may not score quickly but he may be what we need at the top of the order in the 4 day game. Prepared to stay at the crease and accumulate, a lot better than us being 2-10 every game anyway......
