retiring from cricket in the o/d game v WA next Wednesday

A sad but inevitable day.

Looking at Boof on Wednesday night he looked to be in some serious discomfort from either back/Achilles and I don't think that they are telling us the full story.

Well they weren't telling us the full story but I didn't expect him to be told to pull the pin so soon.

Cricket in this state is now right royally screwed with out D.S Lehmann in the selected XI.

A extremely sad end to a fantastic career.

I'm tipping he will miss at least the next one also

Not a real lot of difference in my opinion between Hookes and Lehmann both very brutal batsman when they got going, sad way for Boof to bow out, no doubt it appears as though he has been shown the gate

Lehmann was able to get it together at test level as well as dominating domestic bowling attacks

In his own words IIRC Hookesy said he 'just wasn't good enough' to make it at test level

Hookes played a lot of cricket against far far far superior bowlers at test level
At state level that is not applicable
Dont worry about Boofs ave compared to Hookseys its the opposition.
