Blowin’ the Selectors*
(To the tune of Blowin’ in the Wind)

How many times must the Katt fugg up
Before we say he aint the man?
Yeah and how many soft outs must Marto give up
Before deservedly becomes an also-ran?
Yeah and how many times does Kat’s bails fly
How do their spots they command?
The answer my friend, is blowin’ the selectors
The answer is blowin’ the selectors.

How many times must the Huss look up
And see that were 80 for five?
Yeah and how many times do we have to complain
We don’t want Katmartyn to survive?
Yeah and how many matches will we somehow blow
And wonder how some careers have died?
The answer, my friend is blowin’ the selectors
The answer is blowin’ the selectors.

(Insert dodgy Harmonica solo and spaced out Hippy hand clapping)

How many years can these dip5hits persist
Selecting the handicapper’s two?
Yeah and why should the top order be structured around
Blokes who are obviously poo?
How can the has-beens close their ears
Can’t they see the World Cup will end in tears?
The answer my friend, is blowin’ the selectors
The answer is blowin’ the selectors

REB

Too much time on my hands  Cripes. How long do you think it takes to rearrange a few lyrics? If I had five bucks for every time someone had written that in response to one of my songs I wouldn't need to be in the office in the first place.

That would be me you are refering to, but you obviously have a problem with your eye sight, or your ability to read, I can't see how "I'd like to see Jaques in the side, but you can't drop someone who is consistantly scoring runs", would that make me Katich's number one supporter, may be it is you that is the "fukwit."

Even you should be able to see that selectors are not going to drop an opener with a series average of 51.5, and a strike rate of about 70. Like I said, he has done enough to keep his spot, yes he can appear a bit boring, but he is getting runs, and getting the job done.

This is just another case of the "tall Poppy syndrome", get a life, and get over it.

You can take the boy out of Glenelg but you can't take the Glenelg out of the boy.
