Here's hoping he makes about 1500 in the Moo Moo, as that will mean the selectors have left him out of the Australian side.

It is amazing how much of difference 18 months can make...

18 months ago, everyone was calling Katich a hack, Nick Katich and one post even contained a song featuring Katich who must be "Blowing The Selectors" to retain his place in the Australian side!

Katich is playing very, very well. I would go close to saying that he is the best bat currently not in the Australian side. This begs the question though, should one of the current top 6 be injured, do you guys think the Kat would get selected, or would they go to a CA contracted player such as Hodge?

I think Hodge would get first crack

After that it thins out I reckon Katich would get looked at then

We need to remember its one thing to do well in the PC its another to do it at test level - one doesn't always lead to another. Most times it does, but not always.

I guess Katich needs to prove to me he can take that next step. He has a 5 year deal with NSW so plently of time for him to convince me!

The year of the Kat goes on! Three half centuries in his last three knocks. Still got a bit to prove though LOL.

No use just getting half centuries, especially a guy with his ability, has to turn them into big ones,

Jacques has the mumps and Hayden has knee trouble so the Kat may yet make REB's dreams come true :D
