SA lost both games in TA but can take some positives from the game.
The positives are that some players got runs in Hobart.
The negatives being the bowlers failed disMALLY as a complete unit.

SA V NSW O/D GAME
__________________

GAME 1 2006-2007 [SCG]
Last year we won in Sydney when ELLIOTT made a brilliant 111
Also that game the forgotten man Cam Borgas smmmmmmmmashed 31 of 9 balls
Cam had a strike rate of 106 last year

NS 5/291
after rain SA were set 269 of 43 overs
SA 5/269 [42.4 OVERS]

GAME2 [ADEL OVAL]

SA 7/251 LEHMANN 86[96]
NS 8/254 [49.2 OVERS] HADDIN 56 [47]
a brilliant effort by Boof
FERGUSON 64[81] C BORGAS 27 [23] where are they now !
who can forget HADDINS 6 to win the game, what a player

Both games went to the last over
This will be a close game + with probably no JAQUES we can win this

SA V NSW PURA CUP

GAME 1 [SCG]

SA 399... DEITZ 100*
NS 304... JAQUES 163...TAIT 4/70 ADCOCK 3/47
SA 198.... DEITZ 50
NS 6/190..JAQUES 79

rain from memory robbed SA the game, and a confidence booster [what might have been]
no Jaques this time phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

GAME 2 [ADEL OVAL] SA V STUART CLARK

SA 154 ...DEITZ 62...CLARK 2/33
NS 288....OBREIN 74.. TAIT 4/97...CLARK 25
SA 267...COSGROVE 94...CLARK 6/39
NS needed 135 to win

FALL OF WICKETS

1-1
2-1
3-1
4-1 TAIT 3 wickets we had them on the ropes
5-12
6-46 CLARK comes in to bat
7-124
8-129
8-135 and win...TAIT 4/46... THORNLEY 47*...CLARK 62

Another game that got away
CLARK 2/33...6/39...25....62 killed us
No CLARK this time phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww !

SA should win one of these games if they get KATICH cheap [will get most P/C runs 2007-2008]
NS could be without JAQUES/CLARK/LEE/MACGILL/CLARKE in both games
SA has to replace TAIT ?

All SA needs is a couple of wins for confidence , these 2 games maybe the start.
Come on lads lets beat New REB Wales

If you dont then there is something wrong with your team. Katich will get a tonne of runs on a nice flat un-seaming deck.

Preview- Ford Ranger

Both these sides are under the pump with Tasmania and WA stretching their lead at the top of the table. Both sides last Franger cup game was against Tasmania with both sides losing quite easily. Cleary back in the side for the injured Tait for the Redbacks and O Keefe may replace one of the paceman for NSW.

Key Players

SA- Elliot needs to provide a solid start for the redbacks to set up or chase down a large total, Cosgrove is the key and dont be surprised to see him in before or around the 5-6 over mark. If this is the case he needs to bat until the 40th over and give SA the foundation so they can attack in the last 10. You also can not over look the experience of Boof Lehmann who will play a key role if the top order struggles again. With no Tait the pressure is now piled on to Dizzy and Cleary to make inroads into the NSW batting lineup,SA need to get Haddin in and out early and the same goes for Katich. Expect Cullen to play an important role with Boof if it is a spinners wicket

NSW- Simon Katich is important at number 3 particularly with an inexperienced opening pair, he needs to be the backbone to the NSW innings, If he bats 30 overs they will make 250+ IMO. Brad Haddin is arguably their best batsmen and at 5 will get some good time in the middle, These 2 some time Internationals are crucial to this side making big totals and nothing will change tomorrow. With the ball Bracken and Bollinger will have to do the brunt of the work early with no Clark, or MacGill.

My Tip- I like the Redbacks in this one, even with no Tait, they have the batsmen to score a total big enough to defend even with some of their recent form, Haddin and Katich are the keys if they can get both of these players out for under 25 then they will win the game.

On Inside Cricket it said that NSW had lost nine of their last ten one day matches. The problem is that they rely on one or two players to much and that our best bowlers will be wearing green in Clark, McGill and Lee (admittedly McGill retired from Franger cricket last season). I want to know what happened to ENRIQUES. He looked promising. We've had dud after dud in the bowling department when, at the same time the Apple Isle has been shaking bowlers out of the orchard on a regular basis. Time for a raid next year.

Redbacks to win with our attack playing Boof into form.

regards,

REB

FERGUSON
Averages about 30 and strikes at about 70-75
Thats adequate in Franger Cup for a middle order batsman.
Made 64 v NSW last season

CAM BORGAS
Im stunned how Cam Borgas is overlooked in the Franger Cup
1 innings for 0 when dismissed by the sensational Hollywood Harwood in round 1
Last year
5 games
4 innings
96 runs
highest 31*
ave 48-00
strike rate 106.67

Played some sensational late over slogs last season
Good efforts batting mainly at 6
Potentially the best cricketer in the state when on song

Cams 2 innings v NSW last season

31*[9] who can forget that innings
27[23]

NSW will be relieved he is not playing.

Ferguson to be 12th good fielder and Our man Cleary to get a run in Tait's spot.

if Ice doesn't play he should do a Blewett and get sacked for next season

TAB ODDS

SA $2-00
NS $1-75

Only a very brave man could take those odds NSW
SA have picked a side that will bat very deep
MANOU/CLEARY/HARRIS/GILLESPIE are good in the late order
