The Lankans leave home bound for our shores on Tuesday including former Captian Marvan Atapattu at the special request of the Sri Lankan Sports minister Gamini Lokuge.

In fighting amongst the players and officials is not the best thing to have when embarking on arguably the toughest tour in world cricket.

Atapattu included for Australia tour

He's only played 3 Test matches in Australia so wouldn't take much for him to turn that record around.

I don't understand the merit of a 2-Test series. Why not just have two 3-Test series this summer? It's not like Sri Lanka are Zimbabwe or Bangladesh standard.

Fatboy Ranatunga has said that Murali shouldn't come out to Australia because
of alleged racism. Some should tell that Donut-sucking politician that Murali
gets taunted because he's a CHUCKER.
Idiot.

I reckon most of Murali's deliveries are legal but like most orthodox spinners the doosra and toppie are questionable especially the doosra...

IMO he chucks them - like most spinners do so we shouldn't just target him we should be criticising all orthodox spinners who give it a bit 'elbow'

Is that why Dan Cullen can bowl the same type of bowls down with a straight or as close to a straight arm then?

He bowls them legally and hence does not get anywhere near as much turn as Murli.

Everyone should go to the cricket and instead of making monkey chants, everybody should make donkey sounds at the sri-lankans

An interesting read re Murali.......

FWIW I'm not a fan of Roebucks opinions and writings (too much of a whinging POM and like Rucci with the Crows likes to take an anti-Australian) but it is certainly eye-opening with respect to Murali's abilities:

MAybe just maybe we could all be wrong.....

I think that Heal is a good enough player to be int he Warrior side and will keep immense pressure on Brad Hogg simply to keep a spot in the Pura Cup side for WA, let alone fight to make the test side. Heal is a solid batsman also
