Look at the crowds that went to Adelaide oval last year for a state 20/20 match. They love it - get to the game at 6, home by 9 - that means $$$$ that means it will grow and grow
They said all the same things about the 50 over game 30 years ago but the high crowd numbers made it permanent. 20/20 is also perfect for TV which means more $$$$.
And exactly same as ODI when they started, some teams didn't take it seriously and others embraced it and made a name for themselves. Look how much publicity this loss has created. Even Ian Chappell has come and criticised the lads for being too complacent.
