Reckon we are going to need that extra batsman. Bad selection could cost us a spot in the final.
Go you Redbacks!

It will be hard to win tonight now.
And that means we probably can't host the final. And we will have to win our last game if Queensland beat the Vic's.

Got to hand it NSW they keep uncovering young talent.
They probably have a dozen or more guys away on international duty or injured and they still manage to field a competitive side.

Yep no other state could cover the amount of OUTS they have and still be competitive.

This is why NSW have so many go on to play International level, they get games from such a young age and keep getting chances!

I think population may have something to do with it.

Yeah but having a large population isnt a given to success look at Tasmania.

Also I'm not sure what junior sport is like in NSW but they don't seem to be a sport mad city like Melbourne etc etc, I think there major sports like NRL, international cricket are fairly poorly attended considering population.

It can't hurt having a big population but look at us we have finished behind tassie for years now in the shield

The competition for spots is far greater in NSW hence you need to be pretty good to make it.
I think the Tassie district comp because it is more of a town based comp than suburb based drives it a little more as well as being able to pick up some handy interstaters.

Victoria have a large population and they have produced hardly any decent cricketers in the last 20 years compared to NSW.
Dont forget NSW have lost plenty interstate like Hughes and Christian aswell, remarkable job to keep churning them out
