Yep no other state could cover the amount of OUTS they have and still be competitive.
This is why NSW have so many go on to play International level, they get games from such a young age and keep getting chances!

Yeah but having a large population is a given to success look at Tasmania.
Also I'm not sure what junior sport is like in NSW but they don't seem to be a sport mad city like Melbourne etc etc, I think they major sports NRL, international cricket are fairly poorly attended considering population.
It can't hurt having a big population but look at us we have finished behind tassie for years now in the shield
