Reardon has played the last 3 games for Queensland after missing the start of the year for either injury or not selected.

in his 5 digs this year is averaging about 25, hardly stats for national selection.

We can bang on about all these bad selection but lets remember the selectors arent working with alot of talent here.

I hate Henriques with a passion but in fairness to him his batting in the shield this year is as good if not better than any. He does also add cover for Watson who no doubt will go down injured at some stage, i dont agree we have to have an allrounder for the sake of it but that seems the way test cricket is heading all over the world.

No surprise in the Doherty selection, there arent any world class spinners in Oz at the moment, he has at least played test cricket before and finger spinners have traditionally done better over in India, spinning stocks are extremly low that blokes like Boyce and Ahmed were getting mentioned!

The Maxwell selection still baffles me, we would have just been better of going with either another specialist batsmen or spinner.

We've survived without a world class keeper for long enough now anyway, Hughes looked comfortable enough.

Haddin is not touring. But on standby. Didn't want to take to many players I guess. Haha
As for Smith, the way he has been batting this year I think he is going to be a good number 6

It is more difficult in India. A bit harsh, but I think a couple of tough chances Wade missed in Adelaide cost the Test match and therefore the series against South Africa.

Plenty of holes in this squad. I would have had a specialist batsman (Doolan) and a back up keeper/better batsman (Haddin) in the squad instead of Maxwell and either one of Henriques or Smith.

Why not take Haddin as well ?
17 players to 18 players and have Brad there for insurance
The extra players costs $$$$$ to tour, but Im sure the ACB can afford it

Haddin should be on tour as a batsman alone. I'm far from his biggest fan but he has Smith, Maxwell and Henriques easily covered with the bat and even though i've never seen Haddin bowl he has to have at least Smith and Maxwell covered in that area too. FFS, Steve Smith is just a poor man's Cameron White.

With what's available in Australian cricket at the moment, got no problems with Henriques and Doherty selections. No doubt Doherty will be a better bowler than when he lost it in the Adelaide test.
Smith and Maxwell  Hopefully for Australia's sake a big slice of humble pie coming my way.

I'd be thinking the other way round, I find keeping harder with the extra bounce.

Unless Watson is playing we need to forget about the allrounder. Clarke simply needs to step up as the 2nd spinner and 5th bowling option. Also Where is Watson going to bat?

This will br a tough tour but I think we can go alright. I suspect the decks will be as dead as all shit as our strength is the pace attack and india will look to minimise this as much as possible.

We don't want to over bowl Clarkey with his back. We can't offord to not have him in the side because he hurt it bowling

100% agree... Don't know why everyone is against smithy... give the lad a go he is only young. What happened to all the Hughes critics from a year or 2 a go? If he was dropped and never given another go we would be missing out now. Give the lad a chance.
