George Bailey, Michael Clarke (Capt), Xavier Doherty, Moises Henriques, Phillip Hughes, David Hussey
Mitchell Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Clint McKay, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner

So the outs from yesterday's 12 are: Cutting, Finch, Haddin, Khawaja, Smith, Richardson.

I am really struggling to work this out.

I don't have a huge problem with the rotation policy in general, however I am a little disappointed with it's execution this season.

In previous years they would say right, this is Australia's best 11, we'll add in the next best bat and next best bowler, these two will play 5 games in a row. Then 5 of the 6 normal bats would each get a game off, and the bowlers would generally take 1 game off each.
This way, the 12th and 13th players you bring in get a good run at it (they know they have 5 games so aren't worried about being dropped), they still have 9 experienced players around them, and the team is still reasonably strong.

Instead this year they have rested Warner, Clarke and Wade all at the same time (as well as some bowlers).
This means you now have a group of inexperienced players running around with no real leadership, and as a result it's not surprising the performances are hot and cold.
The players filling in are worried that in two games time 3 of them will be dropped, so they are not batting with any freedom (look at Finch's 2 dismissals, both playing nothing shots).

I'm happy for their to be player rotation, it gives the best XI a rest and also exposes the next generation to the big time, I'd just like to see it done it a bit more of a controlled fashion.

I wondered why Cutting got cut.

Even still, BBL on Tuesday, should still be right to play on Friday!

40.23 bowling average 5.32 economy

This is getting beyond a joke.

Moises Henriques FFS

“Moises is a young man who has shown promise for some years with both the bat and the ball. This will be an opportunity for him to impress as we look for a good seam bowling all-rounder.”

This senile old fart needs to put in an old folks home.
He also said Maxwell shows great promise and will improve rapidly over the next few years and will become a great player for Australia

He was tipped as the future of Australian cricket in Inside Cricket magazine back in 2005 but just has not come on like they expected.

Given the selection of Moses i imagine Theo is quite excited at being so close to Aussie selection.

How does Theo's list A stats compare to Moses??

And in late breaking news Dom Thornely has reversed his decision to retire
