The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Chris Lynn has been awful this year. Wonder how close he was to Chris Simpson for number of ducks in a season. More overrated that fergie

Hartley and Magoffin looking like they can bring them home.
Tigers need another wicket pretty soon.

What might have been........

Over 57.2: Faulkner to Hartley, two runs, DROPPED, forward to defend and he gets an edge, that goes down!! Triffitt dived to his left but couldn't get it and the batsmen get two runs! It was a tough chance but still one to take, great effort to get close.

what a magnificent climax to what ended up being a great final, well done Qld mainly hopes, hartley, magoffin and mcdermott who kept them in and ultimately won them the shield. 10/10 to the curator on not producing a road!. The tasmanians will be thinking what might have been after appearing gone for all money grabbed 5/5 and nearly stole it - luck didnt go their way at the end - a french cut from magoffin before he had scored, hartley dropped with about 15 still to get, but thats cricket and its just a pity that hardly anybody went to watch it!

Good game, Was a bit worried when the rain was closing in so it was good there was a proper result. Would be a much better feeling for Queensland knowing they were the best side and not relying on a draw.
Well done to Boof, hope he really sticks it up the SACA

Sixth first class hundred for Hartley, easily the most important.

First innings 6/54 to McDermott was quality.

5/61 in the second dig, to go with his vital counterattacking 58 in the first batting innings was a captains performance from Hopes.

One innings of substance from Ponting 1 & 6, could have changed the game.
