Well this is just downright depressing.....why is it that the 3 debutantes showed more ticker than the rest of them? Stray and Thornton look like decent propects we must persist with them at all costs

It could do if WA want batting practice.

Barring bad weather this match can now only have one result.
Even with a WA collapse tomorrow morning you would think they would at least add 100-150 and give them a lead of 200+ and means we would need 400 just to make a game of it.
My money is on this one being done by tea on day 3

I reckon they will bat to just after tea tomorrow, should be about 350 infront.
Then they will have an hour or so at us tomorrow arvo and we will be 2 for stuff all at end of day.
Hope im wrong and the lads can get a couple of quick wickets and restrict them to a 200 run lead at worst [-o<

eep them alive till they get bored.

WA need points, they could go second with an outright and close the gap to Queensland.
WA will want this finished early and will leave nothing to chance

Jim you have overlooked that they are playing the redbacks. They could declare at lunch on the fourth day and still get the outright.
There is no doubt about the result.WA will declare after tea tomorrow night.

South Australia 93 all out.
Thornton 24- showed some grit, but he will need to improve on this as I do not enjoy getting excited by an opening batsman making it into the twenties...
Stray 19- Same story. Was good for him in his first dig for us, but he will need to get better.
Fluke Ronchi- 6 caught behind dismissals. Not hard when the bowlers did their thing.
MG Hogan- 5/24... Nephew of David Saker continues to come on in leaps and bounds.

WA 1-183 Stumps, Day one
90 run lead on day one. They need ten wickets to win and on current form could declare now and have a chance to win by an innings.
If SA take 9/0 tomorrow morning, they will start at 0/-90, and will likely not make WA bat again.
WM Robinson 71*
MS Harris 46
CJ Simmons 52*

Our batsmen were not worth a damn, and neither were our bowlers. Even George, who normally has started so well for us, has bowled 12 overs for nothing. A more worrying sign than our batting worries. Without Putland or Christian, we absolutely rely on this guy.

Im not so harsh on our bowlers, you cant really expect them to defend a pitifull 93 on a pitch that had no demons.
They were always going to go hard at that total, the WACA usually offers true bounce and a lightning outfield. Side batting first should make 350 minimum. Batting was a disgrace, Thornton put his head down but the batters just dont know how to leave balls, 6 caught behinds is pathetic. Ever heard of letting the Fu**in thing go.
Unfortunately its just like groundhog day, we keep hearing how these guys are improving yet I honestly cant see us getting another point this season. The system is broke in this state and no one wants to fix it.

Play dougall if they think he is the next opening bat for the state.
Play Thornton and stray. Play cooper and klinger. 1 spot left in the top 6. Goes to ferg but he better perform otherwise it's another kid. And to think we got rid of cossie cause of his fitness. At least he could bat! Bowlers George, haberfield and then one other quick - maybe give Sayers more than 1 game to prove himself. Lyon the spinner. If he is unavailable, play another kid spinner but not bailey or obrien

Time for the hierarchy (admin people) to piss off. Changes from the top need to be made. SACA are a joke
