We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Coopdog has made 4 50's but only has high score of 63. Would be handy for him to get passed that

There is no more frustrating team to follow than our state cricket team. How many more poor batting performances do we need to endure over many years before we are allowed to say something negative. Or is this an acceptable performance?

Lost 5/16 to go from looking good for first innings to 110 behind on first innings. Poor stuff at the end, but I think the damage was done earlier. I can wear failures, you're going to make an early mistake or get a good ball in the first few overs you're out there regularly enough at that level. But really once you get to spend 1/2 an hour and face 30 balls you should be starting to go well enough. Harris and Cooper made 50 and didn't go on with it, Ferguson made 26. Those guys are picked simply to bat. They had the starts, but didnt' go on with it. 8-11 aren't picked for their batting at all and even Christian/Ludeman are picked to bat a bit but also bowl/keep. We just cannot afford to have specialist batsmen making starts and not putting bigger scores up. Hopefully as the season progresses someone other than Klinger from that top 5 does just that regularly enough.

Agree with GrahamL 173.25%
DAVIS 89
NORTH 119
V
HARRIS 65
COOPER 56

Reverse these innings and SA would be 100+ in front

ANSWERS
Can someone that has watched this game at the oval tell me IF
1 The ball is swinging due the atmospheric conditions ?
2 Or is the deck giving assistance ?
3 Bad batting ?
4 Good bowling ?
5 All of the above ?

George run out for a diamond :?
Another poor batting display by the Redbacks, hopefully we bowl well tommorow and have a run chase of around 300.
The top order who got starts needed to go on with the job

I know its not the tail enders jobs to make a heap of runs but they should be able to bat a little.
WA last 4 batters put on 83
SA last 4 batters put on 16

Hard not to be negative, but was happy with Ludeman's effort today, was shaping up to be a really important partnership with Cooper. It is what you want from a keeper, the Ian Healy partnerships with a settled batsmen and then whack a few with the tail.

Harsh call on Cooper, batted really well and very patiently and just got one of those unlucky dismissals. The guy was extremely patient, 0 off 16 at one stage and then started finding the gaps and cash in on the bad balls.

Ferg can have a reprieve, wasnt necessarily a brain fade or lazy shot, but the Doc should have gone on. Didn't see Christians dismissal.
