So they dont use the review system

i dont think the indians have played a test with the referal system

They don't want it. Meanwhile, Gambhir went for 93; Tendulkar is 10 away from century no 51 and Laxativeman is on 5.

3/221.

Steyn at the end of his Test career (even now) deserves to be ranked in the best bowlers of all time - an absolute peach of a delivery to get rid of Dhoni for a duck.

Curently 46 matches, 235 wickets, average 23.
Against India: 10 matches, 50 wickets, average 18.62.

I'm fairly sure his strike rate is actually the best ever as well.

For anyone who has taken more than 200 wickets, yes it is. Considerably, actually. It's Tendulkar vs Steyn and Morkel at the moment.

If you are not watching it, this sums it up:

Cricinfo wrote:83.5
Morkel to Tendulkar, SIX, 144.0 kph, SRT brings up Century No. 51 with a six over the wicket-keeper's head to the off side. And no, it's not an upper cut. It's far from it. Sachin knows he's dealing with a rampant attack here and chooses to go after every small indiscretion in line or length. This was short, so he got ready for the hook, but he did not account for the bounce. It took off and flew off the top edge, all the way, very fine and behind the wicketkeeper. The little man puts his hands up. Determined ton this.

83.6
Morkel to Tendulkar, FOUR, 137.9 kph, and that's a scorcher to celebrate the ton. Sachin presses across, pushes his bat at the line of a length ball outside off and sends it flying away square for four. Timing at it's very best.

84.3
Steyn to Dhoni, OUT, 135.0 kph, It's the new ball and it is Steyn all the way since lunch. Another inch-perfect outswinger from a length, Dhoni played at it like a zombie - no feet movement, no nothing. Seemed like he wanted to steer it square, he ended up playing it straight into third slip's hands. India are disintegrating here.

MS Dhoni c Prince b Steyn 0 (9m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

84.6
Steyn to Harbhajan Singh, no run, 135.0 kph, how did Harbhajan survive that? Pushes almost in fear at another express delivery that moves away from the line of off stump. He played at it in hope, without moving the feet and it burst through that pretence of a shot without taking the edge

86.1
Steyn to Harbhajan Singh, 1 run, Harbhajan gets a ball similar to the one that ate Pujara up, but this one did not deviate that much. As a result, though he got completely squared up, he managed to get bat on it and poke it into the covers. Crucially, he's away to the non-striker's end

Boy, if new balls could talk, this one is screaming its head off.

86.5
Steyn to Tendulkar, no run, extremely well left by Sachin. Steyn gets this one to angle in to the corridor outside off and straighten. Sachin knows exactly what it is doing and leaves even as he reaches out

This guy is awe inspiring - he actually brushed the off stump, it moved inward slightly and the bail moved up a fraction then back down. Gould makes a fantastic decision and gives it not out - everyone goes up and Smith and Steyn in particular were livid with the umpire and Tendulkar. They may apologise now - or maybe not. ;)

Which makes Steyn head and shoulders above Douggie as Steyn takes them against quality opposition.

Come on the indians. Love them to knock of the saffers on their own turf. Love watching them fail. Their pathetic efforts in world cups are some of my happiest memories.

With Tendulkar the only real player who managed Steyn i would think SA are favourites at this stage if there was to be a result, its nearly the end of day 3 already.

What a fantastic spell that was last night from Steyn - I watched about half an hour when Steyn was bending 'em like nannas. That one that hit Singh's off stump was just a brilliant ball.

Interesting that the SA commentators didn't continue to highlight the remonstrations from the South African players when those two (correct) decisions went against them. If that had been the Aussies, they'd have been going on about it for hours.

And yes...there's some talent in the crowd too. How come chicks don't wear bikinis to the cricket in Australia?

I watched quite a bit of this last night...

Three things I learnt:

Harby is just a fluke as a batsman if this innings was any indication...

Sachin... Unbelievable, but finally showing signs of being a mere mortal...

Lonwabe Tsotsebe... Gun.

Very evenly poised. Saffas 2 down and 50 in front at end of day 3. Dont think india would want to chase much more than 220-250. First hour today will decide the series. If shreesanth bowls like first innings and gets a couple early(including kallis) could be game over.

SA 5/117
KALLIS 33*[63] some glorious reverse sweeps
PRINCE 11*
SINGH 4/38[15.2]

KALLIS plays a ball from SINGH and pulls up lame
KALLIS is in pain with a reported Intercostal Injury
He is writhing in pain
if it is the Intercostal, it is a very painful injury
I did one playing cricket
Everytime I laughed for the next few days it was agony
Every sudden movement was excruciating
I didnt sleep for several days
KALLIS is out there fending off the rampant Indians

It is compelling viewing one of the very best Test battles of all time
