we lose by 3 runs

To not hit a boundary in the vital last few overs at North Sydney Oval (which makes Unley look like Subiaco in terms of ground size) is inexcusable.

Only the Redhacks could have lost that.

Needing 9 off 10 with 4 wickets in hand. Unbelievable.

devastating loss after all the hard work had been done but runs on the board are the valuable ones in the end. Lets not forget the knock of DC as well, the guy is a freak and without him we wouldn't have got close.

Chokers. Season over now in ryobi.
Love the way we find ways to lose games we shouldnt. 16 off 16 with 4 wickets in hand, should never lose from there.

Even though he made a hundred, Klingers to blame in the end!

Good effort tho lads, a game we really didn't deserve to win until DCs knock

Watching the Wacky Races on telly this morning, The Redbacks really remind me of Dick Dastardly & Mutley in the 00 mean machine, get themselves into an almost unlosable position every time and then something remarkably F**Ks up at the final hurdle.

Klinget batted well but we only needed a run a ball no need to hit it out the park. Big turning point

Dan Christian surely is the most in form all rounder in the country at the moment!!!

Every game seems to produce something, whether its runs or wickets!!

And Khawaja, nice timly message to the aussie selectors!!

but the jellyback, ah man! how do you do it?

Outstanding effort by the batsman
To almost chase down 317 after being 3/42 was a redbackmarkable effort
To make 8/314 in 45 overs against that star studded NS attack was a performance and a half
Yes SA did goof in the last 3 overs, but still a great effort

The impressive part about this team is the way they are out of games, but keep fighting back

KHWAJA man of the match 121[105]
Had CHRISTIAN bowled better he might have got the award for his 85[40]
Thats one of the very best non hundred innings of all time

From memory Danny played a blinder at this venue v SA a few years ago, that had me raving about him at the time
That was the game Boom Boom Borgas gotus over the line with a few zacherys at the end

At about that time with WILLIAM HILL
SA $1-08
NS $9-00

Betting with about 9 needed off 6 balls
SA $1-27
NS $ 3-25 that was big odds

Even the UK Bookie based in MALta thought SA were over the line

Disappointed Redbacks fans should probably think instead of the fight shown by the backs today. They could have turned it up but fought it out and nearly had a remarkable victory. Today's match was a bit like those footy games when your side plays brilliantly to get within a goal or so but can't quite get their noses in front. The wheels well and truly fell off for the bluebaggers at the end and we were pretty lucky to win this one.

Another great game of cricket at North Sydney Oval.

regards,

End of the day as disappointing as it was the backs getting so close, you take out CHRISTIAN and KLINGER and who did what?
Also had SA had a more potent and aggresive bowling attack they wouldnt have been chasing 300+ anyway!!
Only have themselves to blame!
