Has there ever been a more insightful commentator than Shane Warne? So much stuff he suggests comes to fruition out on the field; he makes a lot of sense in everything he says.

His off field drama cost this country a captaincy of possibly one of the best cricketing brains to have played the match.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind he would have been a brilliant test captain.

I'm watching some highlights of todays' play at the moment. Cricinfo says about the delivery of interest to me:

Cricinfo wrote:6.3
Mohammad Amir to Pietersen, no run, another big appeal! This time for lbw as this comes back from off stump and they again decide not to review. Took an inside edge, otherwise that was out...actually it's dropped. Oh dear, gully ran in and made a half-hearted effort to take it. That really was the easiest catch you'll see, but he didn't seem bothered

It looked like Amin was thinking of appealing instead of catching the ball! That's shocking

As the great man called it "An absolute dolly". I can't add anything else to it myself, but another quote: "That's not even under 12s stuff" said SK Warne.

England all out 251
1st inngs lead of 179

If Pakistan held their REGULATION catches, England should've been bowled out for about 120 - 140.

Just watched the Highlights of the 7 dropped chances by Pakistan and honestly, 3 - 4 of them would have to feature in the top 10 EASIEST dropped catches in Test cricket of ALL TIME.
I mean, a couple of them, u/10 school kids would swallow in their sleep.
Yes, players at that level drop a sitter from time to time BUT 3 - 4 in the same innings is simply UNBELIEVABLE.

The collapse was a bit of a worry, but still in a very strong position as i wouldn't think Pakistan would score to much more than 200 at best in the 2nd innings.

Fantastic rearguard fightback by the Pakistanis'. Debutant wicket keeper Haider was given out lbw 1st ball in the 2nd innings to go with his 1st ball duck in the 1st but on referral was given Not Out and went on to make a very brave 88. Far far from a text book batting technique but played within his limitations and deserved a century.
AjMAL had previously only made 2 1st class 50s, the last being 6 years ago, produced one of the gutsiest knocks iv'e seen to make 50. Was peppered by the England quicks and was hit from head to toe numerous times. Hit on both elbows, chest, shoulder & head but refused to flinch.
Mohammad Amir only made 16 BUT faced 119 balls and never gives up his wicket easily.

Great effort to get to a 112 run lead from the hopeless position they were in and

IF IF IF IF IF only they had held 1/2 of those SIMPLE catches offered in Englands 1st innings, well they could've been in a winning position.

Again, i have to ask the Question, ?

IS Stuart Broad the Biggest WANKER in world cricket ????????????????????????

Absolute sook in my eyes.
Last night celebrates a caught behind appeal with out even addressing the umpire and it's given NOT OUT with NO evidence of the batsman hittting it.
Another caught behind appeal given OUT but on referral, decision is reversed and given Not Out. Broad carries on to the umpire after even though replays show it is clearly Not Out.

Haider blocks a ball of Broads bowling back down the pitch, Haider doesn't move from his crease but Broad picks the ball up and Fires it straight at Haider, hitting him on the chest/shoulder area. Broad sheepishly puts his hand up to offer a meaningless apology.
This incident in Particular was an Absolute DISGRACE imo and further action should certainly be taken.

By This stage, commentator and former England captain Nasser Hussein had had enough of Broad's embarrassing antics and let rip with a stinging tirade of critism at Broad.
I think Hussein was embarrassed by these incidents and good on him for speaking his mind bcos it doesn't seem that the captain or umpires seem to do much about him.

And then just after that, Broad caused a misfield by firing the ball way over the bowlers (Swann?) head.

Yeah, i remember that now, only had to do a 1/2 decent throw from about 20 metres to Swan at the bowlers end stumps for an easy run out and through it straight over his head. Very forgettable day for him.

Broad has been fined 50% of his match fee for throwing the ball at and hitting Haider.

Has got off lightly imo.

Good to hear Sir Beefy Botham just give Broad a Huge serve as well.

On Broad, he's a twat, but until Shoaib gives up all forms, he's still the biggest Wanker for mine...

Bit of a farcical situation here.

Kamran Akmal, dropped for the last Test, is captain of the side for their tour match against Worcs, in the absence of Salman Butt (resting).

Wouldn't have played if Zulfiqa Haider (or whomever he is) hadn't fractured his finger, but he plays, skippers, and is likely to play the next test, after just one match on the outer.

He's batting at number four in this match, ahead of one M. Yousuf- who's currently cruising in the 40's, and brother Umar, who's listed to come in at number 8!

Confused!
