MACGILL 200 wickets at 27 what a bowler.
To average 27 in a batsmans world is astonishing.
Just wish the C9 commentators stopped comparing him Warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrney all the time.
Had WARNE never played people would be comparing every other leggie with Stewy instead.

Stewy has a tough summer coming up against the Indians who play leggies with ease.
If he gets past them with some sort of credibility than the easier pickings will be available.

MACGILL :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:

One has to feel for Ricky Ponting , under so much pressure
The decisions he has to make are
When to declare
Whether to enforce the follow on
No wonder his batting form has slipped

And hasn't really been impressive in this innings either, Macca had him plumb LBW but given not out and has really been just scratching around the crease

LOCKY would you enforce the follow on ?
I wouldnt, we are 1-0 up , get a lead of 500 and whack em back in I say.

CHANNEL 9 COMMENTATORS
very good, and enjoy listening to the great men
BUT
I wish they would not compare current to past players
Examples
MACGILL + WARNE
CLARK + MCGRATH
Where will it end ?
How about
PEITERSON + DR W G GRACE
MURALI + EVERY BASEBALL PITCHER

I would bat again, quite simply to give the bowlers a break, Macgill obviously has an arm injury and all have done a fair bit of bowling already with having the two innings in the 1st test, 550 in front by lunch tomorrow should be enough.

and couldn't agree more with all these comparisoms,

Dravid double century here in Adelaide on last tour?

I will give Dravid the nod cause basically I love the way he bats, I am not a Laxman fan and although he has played probably two decent innings in Aust he has certainly fallen away since 2003 with only 4 test centuries since then and one of them against Zimbabewe
