The WTC needs to have promotion/relegation.

It’s sad watching the Windies like this but I honestly think Ireland/Afghanistan would give us a better run for our money.

Apart from India and South Africa (not so sure this time) every team that comes over here gets belted.

England last summer and Kiwis before that

Done and dusted.
Their full strength side might have made 100 in total.

Yeah that’s true……..I know it won’t happen but teams need more time over here to prepare for tests. This has been the most boring start to a summer I can remember. These have been more than just anihilations

We get the Windies again next year, so the annihilation will continue.

Just an anomaly of the WTC.
Be interesting to see if Adelaide gets them again or we get the Pakis here

That's a brilliant effort by Nathan Lyon. I can see him playing for a few more years, so he could finish with up around 600 test wickets. Great effort!

11/12/2022 remember this date.
We saw one of the greatest exhibitions of wicket keeping I've seen in this country
Alex Carey take a bow for 3 classic catches.

A good afternoon for Alex,

A month ago this happened: https://www.cricket.com.au/video/jimmy-peirson-catch-up-to-stumps-queensland-sheffield-shield-victoria-wicketkeeper/2022-11-11

Last week I didnt think Alex had his best game particularly his leg side work standing back. Just didnt move his feet well and did the English (lazy) thing of opening his body up and taking the ball outside his body rather than working in the "D" and taking the ball in front or on the inside of his R hip.

His work today has effectively said to one of his main rivals for his spot (along with Inglis), "anything you can do I can do better" especially as it was off the same bowler.

The 2nd catch was very good technically IMO. watched the line, stayed low and good give with the hands.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Definitely the best day he's had with the gloves for Australia and right in the nick of time after an ordinary drop on day 3.

That said he 100% has an issue on the movement low to his right which has seen him drop 5-6 what should be regulation catches at international level if your picked for your keeping ability more so than the batting. In Careys case his batting has held up pretty well.

I wonder is Carey naturally left handed, meaning that reach to the right is with his non predominant hand. Otherwise i wonder if that bit of extra pace he would be keeping to at test level, eg Starc and Cummins reaching 140's compared to shield cricket with the backs is finding him out a tad.
