The Australian bowlers would be getting some confidence out of this

I would have kept going with Lyon for another couple IMO.
He was getting belted but it seems as though it might have caused a lose stroke from Amla against the quickies (who are bowling well at the moment).
No surprise to see Kallis and de Villiers shut up shop and consolidate now.
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

I agree, bring on the spinner and lure them out of their shop.

How long will they play until they decide a result is not possible? Will they play out the day or pull up stumps early?

4/131 Saffies lead by 16.
With only 5 wickets in hand.
About 30 overs to be bowled.

"Good try Gaz" almost sounds like Lyon is getting mocked!

Now he gets another wicket..... maybe.

I was thinking with Quiney bowling a few overs that they would call it off with 15 overs to go
But Clarke wants the last 15
So why was Quiney bowled for so long ?

We seem to get that breakthrough at seemingly the very last possible moment. Can't though get a bunch of wickets. If we get AB out really soon, game on. But from here I'd play out the day. South Africa are in a no benefit situation. However, if we get them 8 down or something, even bowling them out in the last over of the day, that will send them a nice message.
