About JP Duminy

Yes mate. I don't read every post. Do you disagree with my opinion of Duminy?

My apologies for not replying immediately, TSG, and I'm glad you PM'd, otherwise I would never have remembered.

Aside from the concussion when I fell in shock after reading your initial comment about Duminy, I then assumed simply that your tongue was planted well and truly in your cheek...

The only issue with Duminy in ODI cricket is that he follows the act of Smith, Kallis, and the two best ODI batsmen currently playing competitive cricket.

He is an absolute gun in my opinion, and has proved that in over seventy ODI matches, where his impressive average is backed up by a good strike rate...

In a nut shell, I do diagree with you... Why is it that you're dead against Duminy, bro?

Duminy has a great overall ODI record (his test record isn't so good) but take out his games against minnows (he has an average of 100 vs Kenya, 102 vs Zimbabwe, 85 vs Bangladesh, 40 vs Netherlands) and his average drops from 41 to 34. Still reasonable, and with his part time bowling and fielding he's done enough to deserve his spot.

I believe Ireland has put in an application to the ICC to be admitted as a full test playing nation. Good luck to them. Reckon the poms have most to lose, could see a heap of good quality county players not getting a game for england defect to the irish.

Both of those were dodgy as!

Was waiting for the commentators to say something, but they've likely been gagged.

13.2
Shoaib Akhtar to Taylor, FOUR, Ross gets a birthday gift, it's the Kamran moment, Shoaib got the edge with a perfect delivery that zipped away just a shade, the ball flew between younis and Kamran, who initially appeared to go for it, and then did the keeper's version of shouldering arms, stood stone still, as a bemused Younis looked on
13.4
Shoaib Akhtar to Taylor, no run, oh I don't believe this, two birthday gifts is too much, from the same man too, Shoaib has Ross pushing at a one that held its line, and the healthy edge goes ever so slowly to Kamran who is in good position to take it, gets gloves on it, and clangs it, Shoaib can't do anything about it, boy is he distraught

For his sake i hope he is match fixing because there is no way an international WK should be as bad as him, i honestly believe our a grade keeper at Eastern Park would do a better job with the gloves.

Also am i the only bloke that cant really watch Pakistan games intensly as there is always that sense of 'doubt' about the result and certain performances. There games tend to flow up and down more than any other sporting side in world sport.

Ross Taylor has become only the third player to score a ODI century on his birthday. And this is how he brought it up:

4 6 6 wd 0 4 wd 6

28 off the over, New Zealand are 6/238 after 47 overs.

They will always have a giant magnifying glass over them. You would have to be incredibly dumb to do anything of the sort if you were a Pakistani cricketer, but who knows what to expect.
