Notice that hilditch has handballed the blame. He believes the selectors chose very good squads but the players didnt perform. He is an utter muppet. Some of the selections were apalling and to pile all the blame on the players just proves this guy needs the axe

On the spin debate. Lucky enough to employ the services of a past test spinner at my local club. This guy has coached spinners worldwide and has had a lot to do with graham swann. Of course the chat after training reverted to the aussie spin bowlers. I asked him about my boy okeefe of course :D
Without being too expletive he rated the current crop.
Cullen - obviously has issues but best action and ability
Okeefe - current best by a mile
Hauritz - serviceable at ss, not test standard
Krezja - see hauritz
Beer - not his fault but not up to it
Doherty - wouldnt get your mum out
He firmly belueved okeefe should have played this series

2006–07: Ricky Ponting, middle order batsman and captain for Australia (made 576 runs at an average of 82).
2009: Andrew Strauss, opening batsman and captain for England (made 474 runs at an average of 52.66).

 I shouldn't laugh because seriously that is just appalling .. Honestly, WTF?!?!

Channel Nein's Isle

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
Of a team that was once a hit
They all starred in our Summer Sport
But now they’re in the 5hit

The mate was a mighty shagging man
The skipper’s bat was sure
So many passengers set sail this year
That the Poms enjoyed the tour, the Poms enjoyed the tour.

The newsmen started getting rough
The selectors all tosspots
Even for the courage of a very few
The Ashes they were lost, the Ashes they were lost.

The team ran aground and was bogged down on our Boxing Day
Run out again
The skipper’s poo
Bowl like millionaires – we’re in strife
The former stars!
The selectors not again!
Hear the Army all Day!

So this is the tale of the team ranked five
They’re here for a long long time
We’ll keep Punter till he’s forty five
It’s an uphill climb

There’s no mates at the Skipper’s do
Even though he tries his best
To make the others accountable,
When they’ve just lost a test.

No runs, no scalps no series win
Not a single victory
He’s not Robinson Crusoe
Just ask crying Kimmy

So join us here next year my friends
You’d better bring the Frangers
As we bend over and get shagged
By the Touring Bangers.

regards,

REB
