I don't see it as a choke, I thought we played above ourselves.

Agreed, got out of jail in a couple of games - could easily have missed the 4 altogether.

Agreed also. Can think of 3 games we would have usually lost but some how got over the line.

I think we are 1 good quick bowler (and not losing Richo) away from winning a final. The Thunder are a pretty complete side and will get Kallas back for the final. Will take some beating.

Which is the main reason for defeat ?

A: Beaten by a better team ?
B: Beaten by a better team on the night ?
C: Beaten by a better player on the night ?

I will go for C
Khawajas innings was the BIGgest reason why AS were beaten
He is either a sensational player now or having a sensational summer
Either way he was the difference

Thought the spinner Green was quite good as well his first few overs, choked the Strikers batsmen of boundaries.

If any team can defend 139 it is Perth Scorchers!

They did it several times last year, and would have the best bowling line up in the comp.

Stars missing key batters too, so think will go down to the wire!

The Scorchers bowling attack is very strong but I don'tthink they'll defend their 139.

Batting has been the Scorcher's achilles heel all tournament. The only exception was that Klinger/Marsh partnership v Renegades.

Don't care who wins this final but I'd love to see another Khawaja batting masterclass tonight.

Howie's only good call of the whole tournament, talking to Mark Waugh about Dan Worrall's run out. "I think you need to take off your fluro green glasses my friend"

It was out but his point stands.

They're bowling beach balls to Khawaja!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Umpiring has been very amateurish in this comp. The umps are so used to the DRS they are too cowardly to make a call. Khawaja was absolutely plumb.
