Would they be aiming for a lead of about 500? Surely that would be enough.

no DRS so he's out ... can't work out where the noise came from, but it definitely wasn't the bat

I'd declare now ... huge target but a silly change for the Indians, more likely they'll go for it (even though I doubt they will), and the wickets will fall.

Sehwag and Ghambir wouldn't want to be out there before lunch.

No point staying out there unless they go for the tonk ...

I can really see now why so many "experts" wanted Ponting axed from the test team. Definitely past it
We have to stick with our abundance of talented youth that are all performing so well...

I think a number of people (me included) thought that Punter was past it, but are ecstatic that he's come out of the slump ... just reinforces that the bloke is a champion.

4/140, Pointing 49, Hussey 14, lead by 472

I suspect when Punter gets 50 before lunch, then the declaration will come.

50 to Pointing.

LOL at Chappelli who stated that the curators have replaced couch with santa ana on the pitch in the last 5 years. Isn't santa ana a couch grass?

OK then, looks like they'll be out there until at least lunch. Clarke likes nice round numbers so 500 it is.

5/147, Hussey out for 15, Pointing not out 51, lead by 479.

Get to 500 and then go the hack I reckon or at least up the run rate even more if they're gonin to keep batting.

Good chance for Haddin to show he's still got it here.
