Seems funny that they weren't able to prosper at Sturt but did aok at Uni.

You need to look further afar than the AUCC. Consistent finalists over the last 15 years with 3 A-grade flags to boot. Club Champiosnhip in 01/02.

I have always, and will continue to, get great satisfaction in beating Sturt on the cricket field. Not hard to guess why.

Who exactly are you inferring has prospered at Uni? Adcock hasn't done any better than his early days at Sturt. Players such as King have gone backwards, as have most other who have taken the easy option of a guaranteed spot at Uni rather than working for a spot at Sturt.

Let's talk about University shall we? Since their 1992-93 premiership (the first in 70 years), they have missed the finals no less than 7 times. Consistent finalists? I don't think so. And in the 30 years prior to that, they never made the finals ONCE. Still, not bad for a social club. It's an ideal environment for Slattery. He doesn't have to work very hard, and that's his forte.

I've never particularly enjoyed beating University, because you don't feel as though you've beaten anyone. Enjoy the few years University have left, because hopefully one day soon, the SACA will realise that Uni have contributed nothing to SA cricket and boot them out of the competition.

Hawk, I reckon its the best feeling to beat a bunch of pretenders who think that they are beter than everyone else when clearly they are living off the rejects from other clubs. Also Interesting to note that the Australian selectors have requested that an allrounder spot is found for Nathan Adcock then the request is duly ignored by the SACA.

AH,
You know and I know that Uni have done very nicely out of Sturt. I think Tait wouldn't mind taking the new ball on Uni #1 every second game so we'll have him too thanks. ;)

Uni - 3 a-grade flags in the 90s. Club Championship in 01/02.
Uni have missed the finals 7 times since 92-93. Well, in a 13 team comp we've been top 4 7 times in the same period. I don;t have access to the remaing 12 clubs stats but I'm thinking 7 top 4s in this period is pretty good going.

Unusual that you can get no joy out of beating Uni but are looking fwd to the day that the SACA 'boot' us out of the competition. You seem quite bitter. I enjoy beating Sturt but have absolutely no desire to see them out of the comp.

@heater31. Who are the rejects exactly? A lot of blokes, as they do, have moved to Uni after spells at other clubs. Some have progressed, others haven't. No different to any club.
