Real good point about Watson, he really is a four or nothing batsmen would hate being the opener at the other end

Well disappointed about the wicket, but apart from that I thought he played good team cricket.

Watson 17
His 2nd lowest score against England in England
His batting has deteriorated the last 2 seasons
Lucky he is an allrounder and no other batters are excelling

In answer to the TSG question
Its probably just as much if Watson does not take wickets as well

And therein lies his problem.

A century in 2.5% of his test match innings. Not good enough for a test opener. His odds for a century every time he bats should be about 50-1 or better.
