Even though they have three wickets now between them, Mennie and Haberfield inability to keep the run rate down has not helped at all today. Sayers, Christian and Botha have done super well to maintain the pressure earlier.

4/1 maybe?

I keep on saying it, but our home grown state cricketers too often get a start then fall apart and I blame grade cricket. At 3 down, grade sides fold to those bowlers every week. If we had better caliber batsmen coming in to face these guys as they come through the grade system at 5, 6 and 7 they'd be better attuned to working the whole innings. No different for the batsmen either. They get used to making a good 20 against the best bowlers, then facing pies the rest of the day. Doesn't happen in shield cricket.

Stumps
7/327
M Marsh 51no
M Johnson 4no
Lets hope the 2 Mitch's dont tee off tomorrow and we can roll them for under 350.
MJ is a very handy number 9 at any level

Agreed. Could well bat 7 at shield level with success. I must admit I still like him as a player. Frustrating as heck, but if he gets things back on track would be able to force his way into the test side again.

Agree tends to be a scapegoat due to how erratic he can be but boy can the bloke add something to a side.

If siddle could be a bit more consistent in line and length I would love to see pattinson, siddle and an inform Johnson bowling together.

Though I think starc has over taken him as the token left hand love child in the country

Oh to have caught Harris on either of his early lives Maxie!!!
7-327, really let them off the hook, but dare I say it, the old Backs letting them off the hook would have been about 3-400 in a day.

Joe Mennie 2-83 (5.92 runs per over) and Jake Haberfield 2-91 (6.06 runs per over), wickets aren't so relevant, but you can't go for six an over in a first class game and not expect questions to be asked. Distinctly ordinary effort lads.
As previously stated, Christian (1.96), Botha (2.1) and Sayers (2.45) really saved the day.

Hopefully the lads knock them over quick tomorrow... The Old Backs would let Marsh and Johnson score hundreds each.

Tipping Hughesy to have a hundred by this time tomorrow.
