Hmmmm would has to say Vic is prob 50 runs on top after day 1. SA will be happy to get close to 200
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Can the ACT have our place in the Shield comp next season??? We are embarrassing

The bowlers bust their arse to give us a gettable total and the Batsmen just spud it up

Thought they did ok considering the Vic attack.
Had to see off the leading wicket taker at shield level this season aswell as one of the best quicks in Aus.
Siddle made the Indians look stupid this summer, the Redbacks played him better than India.
Cooper has to last to lunch at least if we are to get points, the tail will be knocked over quickly tomorrow otherwise

I'm probably just annoyed that we lost 3/14 just before the close of play. Now we have our best bat this season and our brightest prospect in overnight and they will have to start all over again with the Vics well rested

Tj Andrews playing in the futures league game. Does he play grade cricket?

Is it Tommy Andrews is a from Darwin who recently made the 17s team of the carnival?

Talented orthodox spinner who can bat. A Ranga with a fiesty temperment like his Old Man's.

<edit> from my source in Darwin it may be him as he has been TID by CA as a future spinner

Yep confirmed its Tom Andrews from Darwin 16 years old. Ask Tom and he'll tell you his club is Darwin Cricket Club, "I was standing on a corner....."
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

3 innings since he came back. Made a 70 odd so far!

Reckon he will come good. Rather him play averaging 28 than Harris averaging 31

Unfortunately there is not much else at the moment.

Both Thornton and Raphael didn't score too many in the second XI.
Go you Redbacks!

Would Tim Davey be a chance at any stage. Is he the same guy that's been making a sh*t load of runs for Tea Tree Gully this season and then made 95 in the futures league yesterday? If he is, surely he is a strong chance of playing soon.

Tim could be making a claim on the keeper's spot for next year the way he's going.

Raphael id say would be pushing for Davey's position. Made a truck load of grade runs this year. Ludeman is the one in trouble for next year. Who is keeping in the 2XI game. Im guessing Davey is and Raph playing as a batter.
