Todays paper mentions about Pollard and the fact they are not offering a huge amount. I think they will still keep Christian but are not fussed about Tait. Pollard and Christian are good mates and enjoy playing together.

Pretty easy to judge a bloke on what you think he thinks, but it doesn't mean you're right.

One thing I am right about is that Dennis Lillee modified his action in an effort to push on. But it's all too hard for Shaun. I'm sure deep down he really wants to represent his country.

He's got a choice - change the action and more than likely get nothing out of himself or don't change it and get what he is out of himself. None of us know enough to presume what is right for him.

Hopefully we will have a half decent coach now but I can't see the Redbacks making significant improvement in the short term. My main hope will be for consistency of effort and a big reduction in the amount of batting collapses that we see.

If someone offered me 4th place in the Shield next season for the Redbacks, I'd probably take it.

The Redbacks have far from the best list, short of importing even more players the best we can hope for/expect from this season is consistancy and application! Seeing some younger lads develop further and good solid performances.

That's true but respect is earnt not something that is presumed. But I don't reckon he'd care about the respect of a nuffy like me cos he could buy and sell my sorry ass. Therein lies the conundrum.

Looking at the squad, is there only 1 specialist keeper? Bit weird, does this always happen! The sneaky rumour of Crothswaite coming to town might eventuate into something later in the season! Victorian coming to town, im sure Berry would know about it! :o

HTK, yes bit weird, but think you will find although only 1 contracted, Luderman and one other are training. The Crosthwaite thing might happen for Adelaide Strikers, until all signatures are dry, anything could happen.

This new system means there is no loyalty! its hits and giggles cricket with large $$$ attached. Means nothing but allows CA to rake money in and the players to increase their earning!

Loyalty is dead my friend and sloon isnt the first and wont be the last! Will you say they same about Christo when he signs for QLD? he has already left his home state and now possibly playing for a 3rd

Totally understand what you are saying FS.

I will be annoyed if Christian doesnt sign here but he still will be playing for the Rebacks. Annoyed at Tait because he will have no connection to SA at all. I realise he has not got the best body going around but surely he can play 50 over cricket.

Agreed, id love to see him play One day cricket for SA but unless we actually know what his body is like i find it unfair to question someones integrity/character/strength. I struggle to get out of bed some days and am a few years younger that Tait, i get all of the above from people at footy and cricket yet I would enjoy nothing more than be able to move around pain free again.

Sport can be unkind. Both on the body and the individual, the latter often not deservedly so!
