And Haddin's dismissal sums up why we're ordinary. We're scoring nicely, in control and he plays a stupid shot. Stupid shots are "ok" when you might be 1/100 but 4/100, chasing 215.... just plain irresponsible.

Clarke is captaining the side really well BUT how long can we carry a bloke in such bad form especially when there are other blokes around the country hitting runs.

No passouts, once your in the ground your in, if you want to go out for lunchtime beers or anything, you'll need to purchase a 2nd ticket (one reason why it usually looks quite full on tv)
No passouts also mean the small area's there are to smoke are quite packed during the breaks, and of course they are right at the gates which makes getting in the ground more of a hassle.
poorly catered for and poor facilities, long lines for drinks/food/toilets, certain drinks completley sold out mid way through a match.
congestion galore around the concourse, extremely hard to move about when there is a big crowd in, doesn't help when you've got massive line ups for drinks etc adding to it.
The members area isn't bad, but its got nothing on the MCC members reserve, or probably Adelaide Ovals.

yep looked really sad seeing him like that....

surely they have got to start thinking about dropping him or trying something new moving him down the order or something!! this can't go on forever surely...

Have never been a fan but if we need to select Clarke then he goes in at 1 or 6 IMO.

According to Mark Taylor give him as long as he wants.
But Taylor is hardly going to call for someone to get dropped after a bad run of form is he.
Give someone enough chances and they'll eventually make runs, when does it stop though ?

What happens when Ponting comes back and they are both in terrible form?

Do we keep playing two batsmen that can bearly make it to double figures? Surely not at a World Cup, we can't afford that from our number 3 and four batsmen!

Either form needs a huge improvement or decisions need to be made!!

Good to know Sam, obviously the commentators don't have to put up with all that crap, they, especially the NSW ones, can't stop raving about it. Only been there once, lucky enough to get in the members bar and the only movement was from the viewing window to the bar and back, can't remember much about the game, only that Alan McGivilveray (?) and Keith Miller were drinking more than me in between their commentary stints.

it's nice to start winning but losing The Ashes is not going to be glossed over by winning a cuppla one-dayers.

England won the one day series in 2007, but who remembers that? Its all about the 5-0 drubbing we copped.

Smith gets very square on and will regularly get caught pulling off the front foot. While it is a strength of his it is at the moment also a weakness. Even though there isn't a lot of love for Smith on this forum this summer I believe he will make it but we must be patient with this bloke while he learns the ropes. I wish I was as sure about Hughes who is just a horrible batsman.

He plants the front foot very forward a lot of the time, almost pre-meditated. However, those square cuts and drives are very pretty to watch.

Too right but it beats the shit out losing that as well. At least we can say we are number one in one format of the game.

Yeah I'd have a Trott like onside field and instruct the bowler to bowl short to short of a good length. Only a matter of time.
