How about Hussey to open with Watson, the way early wickets have fallen its almost like he is opening anyway. Khawaja could come into the team at the expense of Hughes.

Like Steve Smith, he's young, from NSW and the Selectors are fairly sure they will eventually make it, even though they not ready yet.

Why in the hell would you change the one thing that has worked in the Aussie batting line up? Hussey has scored the most runs this series so why change his batting position?

As I said, he has come in very early anyway....Adelaide was about 4 overs and Brisbane wasnt much more.

Point taken that he has batted well at 5 but other batsman are not performing and so changes need to be made. If not for Hussey, Australia would have just about lost the Ashes already

And if he was at no 4 like he was a couple years ago, Australia would have lost the Ashes already too.

SPORTINGBET
BEER OR NO BEER market
$1-65 BEER not to play in the 4th test
$2-15 BEER will play

IF you read into this market, it appears that AU is likley play the 4 fast bowlers again

Slow pitch. No change to the eleven. Not good.

Agreed. Need a spinner. Can see a hard slog for the bowlers coming up.

Interesting to make the same mistake as we did in 2009 by winning a game and not changing the next test side. Stuart Clark/Nathan Hauritz non-change all up

Absolute drop kicks these selectors.

I try to refrain from criticising selectors too much but please.

England by plenty.

Merry Christmas.

So the side's been picked has it??

http://www.espncricinfo.com/the-ashes-2010-11/content/current/story/493997.html

Michael Beer will have to wait until the morning of the Boxing Day Test to find out whether he'll make his international debut in front of 91,000 people at the MCG. Ricky Ponting, who will take his place in the side despite a broken little finger, wants to have a final look at Melbourne conditions before naming his side on a surface expected to aid seam, but be on the slow side.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Can't wait until tomorrow to see how the Aussies go after such a great performance in Perth. I hope they can keep up the good form they currently have, put in another very solid performance and come away with the result they desire.

This series has been huge so far and tomorrow will be no different. Seeing them play with so much passion in the last test match was fantastic to watch and hopefully they can continue to play with that same passion. It just showed how much hard work they're putting in and now it's starting to pay off.
