This is getting ******* ridiculous now.

Absolutely terrible field before with two players on the leg side, seriously what the hell was Manou and the bowlers thinking?

This reminds me of the Saffies record run chase.

Another huge 6 then. This could be the greatest choke in domestic cricket history.

Hurrah, Haberfield gets rid of Hastings. We are half a chance now.

Why the hell would Weeks bowl short??? Another 6 off Weeks, absolute shit bowling.

Hahahaha I can not believe Weeks just got Rogers out then. Another terrible delivery and Rogers got something on it. Great catch by Manou.

This is getting ridiculous now. Terrible, terrible stuff by Weeks somehow redeems himself by getting the ball to Manou. Shocking bowling under pressure and then makes a meal of a catch but we should win now.

Weeks ended with 4 wickets in the end plus a hand in the run out... hopefully someone has a chat to him about that bowling at the end... he bowled far too short, especially considering he was bowling to Rogers who was on 100-odd. Luckily he gloved that wicket delivery or it would have been a wide.

First win at the MCG in 13 years.

A lot to work on still, our batting was quality and our bowling early on was ok but then we started to panic and almost handed the Vics the game, can't afford to do that to a good side full of self belief. Some of the field settings left me wondering as well...

How is that possible. Didn't he hit it? If not, how was he out? I didn't see it, just trying to work out what you mean.

Edit: Ah, do you mean the batsman gloved it? I thought you meant the wicketkeeper.

SA 7/339
VI 290
ROGERS 140[116] And he left WA becoz they didnt pick him in Franger Cup games
WADE 48[62] how FInCH bats b4 him is a mysytery, How FINCH gets a game b4 QUINNEY is a mystery
HASTINGS 41[33] looks like Kevin Pieterson when he drives
TAIT 2/54[9]
HABERFIELD 3/52[9] great effort
WEEKS 4/54[8.5] at last he has shown his potential

Great game
Bowling still a prob after having VI 5/67

SA needed to dismiss VI for less that 271 for a bonus point
Dissappointing not to get that extra point

Yeah sorry the batsman gloved it (only just) and Manou caught it. If Rogers had missed it I bet the ump would have called another wide... even though it could have easily completed his hat trick of 6s.

Mal I was also surprised to see Quiney carrying the drinks (and dodgy gloves) tonight, he would have been perfect in a chase like the one tonight.

Quiney is in terrible form

Pretty sure Fich has made an 80 odd and a 40 odd so probably deserves his spot ahead of Quiney at the moment.

According to some Victorian judges, Finch is the next big thing. Don't know a lot about him, but we'll have to wait and see. The Vics have been known to over-rate their players a tad over the years :)

Worst bowling I've ever seen in the second half of that innings.

Weeks = very slow learner, did he want to see three in a row go over the fence???

Why can't SA bowlers execute a yorker? Short and wide all night.

I was a very angry man watching overs 25 - 45!!

I hope you're not serious, that was utter garbage and very lucky. At that pace he should have far more control.

RooSTAR
I cant believe how WEEKS gets a gig b4 GEORGE
GEORGE is younger and might even wear the baggy green
GEORGE is a far superior bowler in the longer forms, Im confident he will become a good o/d bowler
GEORGE is fitter

WEEKS is older
WEEKS looks injury prone
WEEKS appears unfit
WEEKS has been trying for about half a decade to make it in the o/d team
WEEKS wont get a baggy green
WEEKS in all fairness bats better than George

4/54 was a good return against the powerhouse VI batters on a highway pitch
The ball he got David Hussey with was very Peter Georgesque like !

Not saying he should be in the team, just saying he showed the potential we have waited for weeks I mean years for

I would drop Weeks and bring George in next game. Yes he got 4 wickets but you can't just go by stats, he was very lucky to end up with 4 wickets it could have been 2/ in a loss. The guy obviously doesn't have much going on upstairs judging by the rubbish he was serving Rogers.

If you are in the team as a bowler you should be able to bowl at the death, speaking of death, he nearly killed our confidence for the year.
