Next SS game let me out on the oval and I will hava piss at both ends
That will liven up the pitch
That can mean
SIDE A 188 + 209
SIDE B 125 + 9/273
The pitch got better on innings 4 when my piss almost dried up

Am I takin the piss outa youse
Yes I am
But you can see my point as well I hope

NOTHING wrong with the pitch MAL.
Would love to see u next time at the cricket go up to Les Burdett in his office (Bradman stand Bar) and tell him his pitches are lifeless and flat and not condusive to results and see what his reaction is.
When we have average medium pace bowlers and spinners bowling staight breaks, combined with catches being dropped and batsmen playing for their spots and not results then of course the pitch is going to be made to look flat and lifeless.

Totally agree FootySmart!!! Not too many of you have played muh cricket obviously!!! When your batsmen arent in the greatest form you'd expect them to have to grind away to work themselves back into some form, you can't just click your fingers!!! You have a cry and complain to everyone when we get get rolled for 100, yet you do the same when were 4 sessions into a 4 day game and we're 4/350 odd. Get a grip!! Your all in 20/20 mode!

If SA make 500 and declare I think a 3rd and 4th day pitch will be a bit of handful!!

QL 8
SA 6
Whats wrong with making about 500
We will have killed of any hope of QL getting an outright
Give us a big hope of 2 points
And maybe 6
But at this stage unless QL bat poorly it will be a first innings result

you have to be able to bat as the conditions dictate, against victoria in the second inninngs a slow approach was required, batting first on a flat track going slow is not the way to go- if dan harris isnt in form after hitting 160 not out he never will be

SA V QL
feb 2009
last time we played QL at home

SA 6/489[144]
QL 9/300[109]
SA 7/143[29]
QL all out 313[93.5]

32 wickets
with 3 declarations
SA batted faster last game in the first dig
but we still needed both skippers to manufacture a result

we had Manou + Cosi getting tons in quick time
this time they are not playing

The conditions may say its a batting paradise.... if the bowlers bowl good areas and to the field they scoring can be very hard! I dont see your point we will make 550+ and bowl at them after drinks in the last session

how can you not see teh point about wanting to win games of cricket? to do that you need to have enough tiome to bowl the opposition out twice

Seems to be some urgency in the Redbacks batting post lunch.

The boys have scored at 3.80 runs an over today. Better drop them.

last session today and 2 days... for the redbacks the crucial session with the ball is the first one later today were we need to hopefully get a few wickets! If we can have them 2 or 3 down we still have plenty fof time to secure the points

What would I say to Les
"" You produced spicier pitches in the Pura Cup."""
"" But since the comp got renamed the Sheffield Shield weve had these flatter decks again.""
"""And now we are almost at the mercy of contriving skippers trying to manufacture results.""

We have declared at 5/477.

Well done to Borgas on his 150 odd not out.

Hope to have them 3/147 at the end of today.

Not enough, not a very good declaration, I think there's only two points on offer now so we should've just aimed at getting them, I hope I'm wrong. It's not going to be much fun in the field for the next couple of days for whoever is out there.

What will happen now ?
QL gets bowled out
QL goes for 1st innings points
QL declare 170 behind

One innings 1 declaration
Oh to find a bookie that bets on SS declarations at Adelaide Oval
