Swampy, not true, he is the x-factor that gets other bowlers wickets, Mills was at ease against everyone last night, after getting hit in the Gangulies he didn't want to be out there, same as AB de Villiers, Boucher and probably a few others. He was bowling into the breeze to start with last night aswell.

Expalin that to me! I mean he doesnt build pressure and he was one of the most uneconomical bowlers we have had this summer. Why didnt he do that to the top order against Sth Africa? Hitting blokes doesnt make you good!

Batsmen feel uneasy around him, they never know what the next ball will do, with this in mind they tend to try and be more flambouyant against whoever is bowling from the other end. If you have a good line and length bowler who can mix it up, he'll prosper from Taity's explosiveness.

I do get where you're coming from, he can be pretty annoying to watch at times, but generally there is always something happening while he's bowling.

In all fairness SD if you turn back the clock to the start of summer the bloke hasnt bowled in close to 12 months, gets tossed the apple for 2 games then gets called up to the National side. If you think he is match fit atm you are naieve, it's not his fault the selectors chose him. He slows down because he is f****d after an over. Hitting blokes does make you good because they become shit scared of you, of all the blokes tait sconed which of them survived the next 2-3 overs......None. I don't think Tait was the scapegoat at the World cup, you can ask any batsman thats ever played the game and they will never call a bloke who can bowl 160 kph a scapegoat. he bowled very well, but atm he is down I agree.

heres 2 that spring to mind, sorry if they have already been mentioned. ken eastwood from vic played 1 test in 70/71 v the poms and wayne phllips (vic) played at least one v india around 91/92. I know he is local but dan cullen was very lucky to play test cricket not to mention scott muller and matthew nicholson, there were a host of blokes during the 2 wsc seasons that were gifted a baggy green but due to the talent pool being serverely drained by kp at the time the selectors didnt have much to chose from
