do you find that suprising? one new comer to our state and a rookie batting together?? they will take time to gel and spend time at the crease to get to no eachother and how run together between wickets...was hopin they would do it this innings though!
my prediction of smith to make a ton on debut has failed...until the 2nd innings

Bollocks CK,you dont need to spend time with each other in the middle to run well together. Stuffs ups occur,no doubt but you cant use that as an excuse.

Maybe we better not recruit any more players or play any debutants for a fear they may all get run out

Running between the wickets is a simple thing only complicated when the basic rules aren't followed or stupid decisions are made.

SA 2/56 (27.4)

Klinger 18*(53)
Borgas 7*(46)

Once again SA batsmen scoring at an alarmingly slow rate. This is allowing the bowlers to settle into a rythym and just creating a lot of pressure on the batsmen.

when Klinger played for the Vics i didnt think he was a very goor player, but if he keeps getting the runs he is getting he will put his name in front of the National Selectors

i think klinger because of his age will need to make runs in the ilk of katich last year to get a look at....but he is in magnificent form

You will note it's mainly been Plant & Borgas who have scored slowly (it appears the norm for Klinger). This is because they are under pressure to keep their spots before they even get out there.

If Borgas can get through this period and make a score (unlike Tommy) it won't be such a bad thing. I don't think CB is normally a slow scorer is he?

I don't think he is normally slow either? He has won SA a couple of ODI games off of his own bat in the dying stages.
Going slow isn't such a bad thing for CB - Klinger and D. Harris have built decent scores this season going slow. Plenty of time left in the game too.

I can't see Klinger being close to national selection, i think he'd need to score 1200 runs this year to be given the smallest bit of acknowledement from the selectors.

Current partnership is now 42 off of 20 overs, that is bordering on the side of stupidity, surely the bowling isnt that tight

Picking it up a bit now. Borgas starting to play a few shot from the sounds of things.

SA 2/93 (38.4)

Borgas 35*(90)
Klinger 25*(77)
