ENGLAND vs NEW ZEALAND
3rd TEST

England squad - Unchanged
Squad Michael Vaughan (capt), Alastair Cook, Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Tim Ambrose (wk), Ryan Sidebottom, Stuart Broad, Monty Panesar, James Anderson, Chris Tremlett

If the same XI take the field it will be the first time since 1884-85 that the same XI has played in five consecutive matches

The biggest concern for England is the form of Paul Collingwood who has scored only 32 runs in the first two tests

New Zealand squad - Unnamed
Tim Southee would have to caom back into the side, after missing the second test with an upset stomach  . He showed he was back to fitness with a 5 for in the tour match, expect Iain O'Brien to miss.
The batting though is far less certain with James Marshall (52 runs in first two tests - and only 13 out twice in the recent tour match) and Daniel Flynn (struggling, he lasted on 12 balls out twice in the recent tour match, after having two teeth knocked out by a James Anderson bouncer) those who may miss. Peter Fulton did his chances of making a comeback no harm with a half century in the tour match, as did Gareth Hopkins, specialist wicket keeper who maybe called in, forcing Brendon McCullum to play as a specialist number 5 batsman.

It worked wonders in the opening, there was one amazing ball from Mills with the swing (although this was after it passed the stumps, but the swing carried to 1st slip!)

Embarrasing for the Kiwis. To have England 5/85 in the first innings and then lose with a day and a half left (lost plenty of time to rain as well).

The 161 run 6th wicket partnership between KP and Ambrose was game winning

A couple of Pommy batsmen would be looking to get some sort of form in County cricket before the real part of the summer vs Sth Africa starts.

IR Bell - 45 runs @ 15, HS 21*
PD Collingwood - 32 runs @ 10.67, HS 24*

But at the other end of the scale

AJ Strauss 266 runs @ 66.5, HS 106, 2 fifties, 1 hundred

I was watching a little of the ODI match tonight and KP was in and he turned around from his right handed position to a left handed one with a change of hands on the bat and then hit a 6, then a couple overs latter, he did it again. If he can do that, then for example a right handed bowler should be able to bowl left handed with out telling the umpire.

EG 5/307
KEVIN PIETERSON 110
By batting left handed and hitting those 2 balls for 6s confirms what I have thought about him.
He should bat like a spastic and when he does he is prob the most intimidating batter in world cricket.
Those 2 sixes were close to the most amazing shots ever witnessed in cricket history

gday guys keep an eye open for the ODI between scotland and england, scotland are less than woeful, im playing in scotland and was part of a side selected of club players in the Scottish National Cricket League who took part in a 20/20 game to celebrate uddingston cc's 125 anniversary, we beat them with three overs to go, they were only missing john blain and ryan watson, england could score 350+
