I thought it was a great days play. India trying to tighten, Australia trying to push for runs, great contest.

Aussies now 5/500

Simmo 19*

Gilly 8*

Just wondering what may be in Pontings mind, come out and have a huge dash after tea for 90 mins and try and get 100 up and send them back in and hopefully pick up 3 or 4 quick wickets or will he just bat on and on and on

I hope he goes into one day mind with Symo & Gilly at the crease. Come out after tea, smack 20-25 overs for say 100 - 150, declare, put the sooks back in and let Lee bowl bean balls at them....

TEA TIME

Aust 6/509

Symonds 19* in 92 mins

Hogg 1*

Don't think batting is that difficult out there our guys just seem to be intent in occupying the crease, obviously to get in a position where they can't lose the test, now faced 167 overs for that score, usually would be well in excess of 600 in that time, be interesting to see what happens post tea, time for Roy to start firing one thinks

Think we have been spoilt for too long by the Aussies aggressive batting, this is getting a tad boring now 1 run off the bat in the last 26 balls bowled   and that was to Hogg

Have listened to the radio for the cricket coverage until it came on TV.
FFS why do Channel 9 not show it ? Missed Ponting & Clarks 100. Not good enough.
Surely the attendances at Adelaide Oval wouldn't be affected by live coverage ?

Game on...surely the message for Lee & Hogg is go the tonk.

My thoughts too...either that or just go hard for another 10 overs...
Don't go for a draw Ricky, go for the win and send the Indians back home....

agree to a point with that. After having just seen the last over where the ball was running along the ground and huge puffs of turf coming up, might be better to bat on and get a lead of 40/50

Pitch looks like it wont hold up as it has for the first 4.75 days

Johnson gone for 13

Aust 9/557

Indians should be in shortly, could be a very very interesting pre stumps session with LEE flying in, think that Clark should get the new ball on this occasion as well, make the Indians play at everything

India 1/9, no runs being scored, Brett Lee bowling a purler of a spell and unlucky not to have a couple of wickets, Mitchell Johnson finally has found his line and length and doing a great job as well. 7 overs gone
