Because 7 wickets fell, the D/L method assumes that chances were taken, hence more runs. I'd say if the score was 3/203 the Bulls target would have been greater.

Had the rain fell exclusively from the 39th over, which reduced Qld's innings to also 39 overs, their target would have definitely been greater. The D/L method also takes into account of the pacing of a limited overs match - which disadvantages the first batting team if rain fell early on, so extra runs are added. But those are offset by the wickets.

It may not be fair, but it's fairer than the scenario South Africa had in the 1992 World Cup Semi Final - from 22 off of 11 to 21 off of 1! Under the D/L method, South Africa would have needed 5 to win off that ball.

After a second rain interuption the game was reduced by 12 overs
Did that mean GILLESPIE/TAIT/HARRIS had been bowled out of the game ???????
6 overs was the max per bowler
TAIT had 6.2 overs

I'm not well rehearsed with the rules about that scenario, but must be that it allows for that over to be bowled out, even though he is past the max amount of overs.
