I think most people have a problem with the " free pass" system. Got no problem with them playing if they are making runs but when the coach comes out and says they are in for whole series regardless that annoys me. I think if anyone else in the top 4 hadnt made a ton in the last year they would have been gone months ago. Think Phil Hughes has 2 tons in last 5 tests

Free pass? Ponting is playing better than anyone in the side and has been contributing a fair bit of late. Hussey was man of the seris against Sri Lanka 4 Tests ago. Think they have earned their spots unlike a couple of others.

Ponting has been doing well in last few tests but his job is to go on and make tons. The fact is he hasnt made a ton in 12 months, cant see too many other nations carrying a number 3/4 for so long. Would love to see hom peel off a big ton. Hughes and Khawaja have already been made the scapegoats and Marsh will be under intense pressure so i dont know about guys being gifted their spots

Tendulkar hasn't made a test ton for just shy of 12 months either, same age, etc, no-one is calling for his head.
