Why wouldn't England open with Buttler and Hayles? It's just like a T20 but longer, it's the same fundamentals, especially considering Phil Salt takes an opening role.

Hales isn't in this England squad and Buttler has never opened in ODI's, batted as high as 4, obviously he prefers playing in the middle order and so does the team/coaching staff.

If England get over 250 they will win. Was enough nip early with the new ball that we will end up five for stuff all

Run a ball from here gets them to 270 which will give the Aussies a good chase
