Watson - Even class openers have lapses in form
Warner - Can play test cricket, and will score quick enough to take pressure off of Waston. This could be his last chance to show he has pulled his head in.
Kawaja - Long term prospect for No. 3, stick with him
Clarke - Needs to man up and bat with the big boys
Smith - Has shown he can be handy with the ball, give him time to settle in to the team
Haddin - Too often has thrown his wicket away batting with tail enders. Put some "batsmen" around him, he showed in the first test he can fight, just doesn't show it enough
Wade - I am serious about him bowling a few overs of medium pace, even if it a 6 over spell from overs 60 - 75
Agar - Don't drop the kid after one great start and one not so hot
Siddle - Doesn't need explaining
Starc - Will someone please tell him his mum wears army boots or something, he looks like he is still playing school cricket and doesn't want to upset the big boys in case they steal his lunch money.
Harris - Proven class, wrap him in cotton wool between spells.

And just before they go out to bowl, Warner needs to give Starc a kick in the balls to get him to show some form of emotion

Even shit openers make the occasional ton.

Yeah not convinced Watsons on his game....Looks sullen or sulky or both.
Certainly doesnt look like he's happy to be there. Confidence gone with the bat and 1 ball away from injury when bowling.
Our top 3 certainly doesnt look like building a partnership.

If they play Swann we play all right handed batsman since the lefties have NFI

Klinger
Cant think of another RH opener (Not Watson-never to be selected again-go home now))
Clarke
Doolan
Smith
Ferguson
Paine
Siddle
Bird
Harris
Lyon

Looks better already

Clarke has to stop hiding himself at 3 and face the music.

I dont understand why we continue to go so aggressive with our top order. Time to change and have openers who can actually dig in. Wouldnt even mind seeing watson slot in below khawaja or warner

Cowan must not play, and i'd give Rogers another chance.

Maddinson? has he been making runs in England?

Watson wont be dropped, id stick with Rogers (need 1 grafter in the side)

Would love to see Klinger get a run!

Maddison is on the Australia A tour of Africa, made 42 in his last dig. If Watson is going to play he needs to bat down the order IMO.

I find the Agar "hystaria" funny as the only thing he has done is hit 98 but he is not in the team to make runs (even though we need them), he is there to take wickets and his figures so far are 2/248. If he had made 0 in that first time at bat everyone would want him out.

Lyon has to come in for Agar who just isn't a Test spinner.

I'd be putting in Sayers to replace Pattinson for mine.
