Best opening pair for Australia right now?
You're looking at them.

Okay moving Hussey up is robbing the side slightly, but bring in Khawaja and leave Hughes out.

Next test team:

Watson
Hussey
Marsh
Khawaja
Ponting
Ferguson
Haddin
Johnson
Siddle
Bollinger
Hilfenhaus

I still don't see why we need to play a spinner - they have all been purely ornamental decorations in this series.

Specialist spinners, certainly. Clarke, North and Katich with cameo performances along with Krejza in one Test have been the Christmas lights.

Looks like the railing is gone!

Finally, they've got it fixed - with the help of groundsmen, cameramen and even the 4th umpire!

Watson really should retire hurt when he gets to the 90s, and resume his innings later.

Don't they check this equipment at the beginning of each day? If not, why not?

Great session for the Aussies, 1/92, take that anyday!

Hopefully push on this session, aim for another 90+ runs with hopefully at WORST 2 wickets lost.

Earl of Twirl looks like Brad Hogg to me. His WA teammate Gilly smashed him all over the park.

Yeah I thought it was him to. He bowled a flipper last ball and Hoggy used to be able to bowl a pretty good flipper. Gilly smashed him everywhere.
