Why not, England's winning with a team full of nouns (Bell, Cook, Trott, Root). If you can't beat them, join them.

Bring Wade in to bat and bowl his medium pacers......if nothing else to give Watto a bit of a rest so he doesn't break down either.

Watson - Even class openers have lapses in form
Warner - Can play test cricket, and will score quick enough to take pressure off of Waston. This could be his last chance to show he has pulled his head in.
Kawaja - Long term prospect for No. 3, stick with him
Clarke - Needs to man up and bat with the big boys
Smith - Has shown he can be handy with the ball, give him time to settle in to the team
Haddin - Too often has thrown his wicket away batting with tail enders. Put some "batsmen" around him, he showed in the first test he can fight, just doesn't show it enough
Wade - I am serious about him bowling a few overs of medium pace, even if it a 6 over spell from overs 60 - 75
Agar - Don't drop the kid after one great start and one not so hot
Siddle - Doesn't need explaining
Starc - Will someone please tell him his mum wears army boots or something, he looks like he is still playing school cricket and doesn't want to upset the big boys in case they steal his lunch money.
Harris - Proven class, wrap him in cotton wool between spells.

And just before they go out to bowl, Warner needs to give Starc a kick in the balls to get him to show some form of emotion

It's worth a shot, me thinks. There's no big shocks among that list, and I think a few overs of Wade's mediums could work too.

Wade bowls too short.
Need to bowl him in shorter spells too. Batsmen will get used to it fairly easily and take full advantage.
Jimmy Faulkner would get a look in first.

For mine we need to stick with the batting, as poor as they've been, how do you give them confidence by chopping and changing every 5 mins?
All this talk of moving Pup up the order I don't agree with. The higher hughes bats the better his chances of getting in before Swann comes on. Khawaja looked ok in the 2nd dig, all be it with no pressure on given the situation.
Give Agar another go, especially given it's likely to be a turner.

Starc in for Patto would be my only change.

Bird not far off.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

I think give Hughes time, keep him in there, it isnt going to do any good dropping him every few tests..

He may have strugged so far, but the entire batting line up has! Pretty poor when Watson is leading our runs with 109 from 4 innings.

Agar out, 2 wickets in 2 tests isn't good enough. Smith bowled ok as much as i hate him, use him as a spin option if that's what you want, so then either bring Bird in as the extra seamer or bring in another batsman, but still not convinced that Wade is the right option as a specialist bat.

I am serious.

I understand the point that Agar is there as a bowler, my point is that to drop the kid so early won't achieve anything.

With this line up you have 7 different bowlers. Wade doesn't need to bowl too many, just enough to give Watson a break. Bowled in 3 over spells 20 overs apart.

There are only three changes in that list:

Warner has done the job before, should be given his last chance now or sent home.
I don't really want Hughes dropped, but Wade can at least bowl. Watson and Smith have proven just as useful with the ball as the full time bowlers.
Starc in for Pattinson has to happen anyway.

Keeping Agar in if he isn't going to take wickets isnt going to achieve anything either! Go back and cut his teeth in SS instead, he is only young.
May have 7 different bowlers, but are you really going to use 7?? Surely the onus must go back onto the bowlers that are selected to get the job done, and yes Smith & Watson can bowl a few overs.
I thought our bowlers hadn't done that bad a job, it's our batting that continues to flounder.

Warner could possibly come in, but he failed to dominate an ordinary Zimbabwe side so why bring him back in? I'm happy to stick with Rogers & Hughes bit longer and see what happens first..

I sitll like Bird and would pick him over Starc, besides i'm starting to get sick of all these left hand bats

Correct, the bowlers have been doing the job, but one change has been enforced with Pattinson injured.

My point with Wade is more to protect the work load of Watson, other than that there is no change. To bring Wade in there needs to be a batsman dropped, to me that is down to either Hughes or Rogers. I would like to leave Hughes there but I don't think we should carry all of the poor performing batsmen.

If Warner isn't going to play, send him home, he will just stink the joint up with a $hit attitude sooking in the change rooms otherwise

I agree with PG play the 4 pacemen with Patto injured that is

Harris
Starc
Siddle
Watson

Use Smith when a partnership forms as a wicket taking option

No one will like the lineup but honestly I would go with

Warner
Hughes
Khawaja
Clarke
Smith
Wade
Haddin
Watson
Starc
Siddle
Harris
