Bowled really well against the world champs over here. Was our best bowler of the series by a mile. Always managed to grab the big scalps aswell

This is my point.

Siddles 3/140 odd in the first test was well behind, Pattinson (5/140) and arguably Lyon (4/150), he was our worse performing bowler in the first innings in Adelaide and didnt play the third test.

Yet was our best bowler in the series by a mile.

He was probably only our best bowler in 1 out of the 4 innings he bowled in.

From his 4 innings he captured Amla twice, AB twice and Smith once.
I thought he bowled well in the series and his stats could have been so much better but for a a couple of dropped catches and him not staying behind the line. If Patto had stayed fit he would of been our best bowler.

I thought he bowled well in spells but overall never stood out apart from his second innings in Adelaide, his 3 wickets at the GABBA were

Siddle- Amla x2, Philander
Pattinson- Smith x2, Kallis, DeVilliers, Peterson
Lyon- Rudolph x2, Kallis, Peterson

I think my point still stands, most people like yourself would consider Siddle was our best bowler by miles that series BUT thats pretty debatle on the basis he was far from our best bowler at the GABBA, was probably our worse in the first innings Adelaide, but was easily our best in the second innings Adelaide..

I love his attitude and character but sometimes i think the Aussie public is so adoring of him that it hides his poor performances and exgarrates his good performances.

Henriques got fined part of his match fee for having sponsors name on his chin strap for his helmet. And It was the manufacturer. Seems weird.

Siddle doesn't bowl enough wicket taking balls. He's not out best bowler, just our fittest. Plenty of heart, but not all that many tricks.

His figures so far in each test in India has not been a pass mark, or have our standards dropped that low

I need to be fast bowler if averaging 80 with the ball is performing well
