DUD

Un-South Australian tool.

So is tait. He didn't even play for the strikers last year

Yeah he did and he bowled well, only one wicket less than Richo despite playing 3 less games than him.

My Mistake it was 2011. My point stands

"WHEN it comes to Twenty20 cricket, express paceman Shaun Tait naturally saw red.
But this time, when the new city-based Big Bash Leauge was launched earlier this year, his home South Australian Redbacks strip was traded for that of the new Melbourne Renegades.

Tait, 28, happily seized the chance to cross the border and join forces with what is a formidable-looking outfit that will play out of Etihad Stadium this summer. It was an easy choice"

Is he Australian? No.... I would say its SACA fault they dont have an international player as their overseas player, given they have handed over control of the team to the throwing spud (Botha not Tait - the other throw spud).

Tait the 9th leading wicket taker - wow he is earning his money... Not a class bowler - very average and can't control the ball or execute the correct deliveries under pressure.

Tait is a terible death bowler. His skills suit the complete opposite of death bowling. He won't get a contract next year, should of got the Chadd!
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Didn't the Strikers decline to offer him a contract?

seems to me he does better at the death than early on! thats probably because you probably dont have one of third man or fine leg in early, so there would be plenty of boundaries behind square off tait

i got no problem with people chasing coin. it is their job. if you got offered double the money (not sure what the actual amount was with tait) for a similar job somewhere else almost every one of us would be out the door in a second.

sportspeople shouldnt be any different, now that they are professionals. (i have a different opinion at a local level, where loyalty still matters imo)

Tait performances so far

1/36 (4)
2/27 (4)
1/34 (4)
0/33 (3)
3/41 (4)
2/26 (4)
2/44 (4)

Batsmen dismissed: M.Hussey, Armstrong, Hogg, Maddinson, Cartwright, Cummins, Voges, Cutting, Kieswetter, Bravo, Rohrer

2 games where he has gone under 8 runs an over, 3 games he has gone for over 10 an over.

Looking at the batsmen dismissed only Maddison and Kieswetter jump out at you as early wickets...lots of players going the tonk at the end.

I'm not sure anyone has a problem with players chasing money - but being called un-South Australian by bagging his sh!t bowling is slightly hypocritical given he was willing to be un-South Australian for more kanga.

Moving on - he wont be there next year so the majority will be happy.

On another note I wonder if Phil Hughes wishes he didn't say they were unbeatable on their day. LOL WADH....

Well said. Was just elaborating on my earlier point saying if a player ie.tait is happy to move franchises then they need to accept criticism based on value on a dollar v output basis and not expect or get praise just cos they are a 'south Aussie'- its irrelevant

Fair enough, I thought I remembered there being some talk at the time Chuck didn't want Tait here and had to be 'convinced' to OK his signing last season.

But still not sure what this has to do with ripping shreds off an SA born player in an SA based side and if you're wondering I only called that hypocrite squids an "un-South Australian tool" because he called Jim "an un-Australian tool" in the ODI series thread for constantly bagging Maxwell.

I wasn't even remotely implying he shouldn't be criticised just because he's a South Aussie (his first 3 overs last night were crap and down on speed, I suspect the dead rubber aspect) but think it goes a bit too far just because he retired from FC cricket at a young age.

I thought no test players were in the squad and the test squad flies out next week. Faulkner has been named in test and T20 squad
