The only change im making is Starc for Doherty.
Siddle had a bad test but he wasnt alone, has been our best quick for the last 12 months or so and doesnt deserve to miss, he will turn it around. Plus he is a better bat than Maxwell

Are you serious?

I think they should give Siddle a decent break and have him ready and raring for the Ashes tour where he'll be in conditions that suit him, he could be a potential series winner in the UK for us.

Shouldn't Australia be trying to win this series first?

I don't see Siddle being the key to that. His bowling style doesn't suit these decks, horses for courses IMO.

Same rules should apply for batsmen aswell then. Cowan and Wade are clueless against spin and Hughes isnt great.
Maybe we should pick the best players of spin to go to India, a guy like D.Hussey would be ideal, also bowls better than Maxwell or Smith.

Absolutely, you don't pick a team of tall's when it's pissing down with rain, no different to cricket.

Just seems that bowlers get shunted around but once a batter is picked they stay regardless of pitch conditions.
To me the batting lineup in India should be differant to one say in England, we tend to play the same top 6 no matter what

Oh right ill throw it out there Siddles is OVERRATED his run in a bang it as hard as possible on an ok length will only work on Aussie decks.

In the sub continent it will fail every time and against the best batters in the world on their own decks it will fail! Only teams his bowling average is under 30 against is NZ, SL and IND

He has a personality and traits which the Australian public LOOOOVE!!!

Duck, cover, hide then run ;)

Other than spin bowlers, there aren't ANY bowlers suited to Indian wickets

Bowled really well against the world champs over here. Was our best bowler of the series by a mile. Always managed to grab the big scalps aswell

Wasnt gifted the luxury of a WACA test.
Bowled his guts out in Adelaide in 40 degree heat after Patto broke down after 30 minutes. Almost won us the test against the best in the world

His first innings figures in that test of 2/130 and was probably our worse performing bowler in that innings.

I would say Hilfenhaus 3/49 in the first innings was just as important if not more than Siddles second innings.
