OK
I will post it
A magnificent 80 by arguably the second best Australian batting Wicketkeeper ever
Or a magnificent 80 by arguably the best ever right handed Australian batting Wicketkeeper

Since THAT shot in South Africa, the MALigned Brad Haddin has made
18
55
80
Very good contributions, especially with star keeper batsman Matthew Wade pressing for selection

Averages 36 + with the bat
This is outstanding for a person who debuted in 2008 when 30+ years of age
He has at times performed very well against good fast bowling attacks [SA + EG]

Haddin's was a patient and calculated knock. Was urging him on to make a ton and it was disappointing to see him hole out when he only had to knock a few 2's around, especially with the tailenders holding up their end.

I'm not sure that would be the "real" Gus Logie.

This is for the second test. But Dan Christian had been pulled out of the SA shield team and has been told of his selection in the Australian test 12.
He is set to become test player 427.

Good point
That being the case
Should a Danny Christian or Mitch Marsh have played instead of Warner, Hughes, Ponting or Khawaja ?

And Danny might play in the 2nd Test ...
Theres some pretty good young fastys emerging
Cummins
Cutting
Starc
George
Pattinson
I really really worry about burn out and injuries
You want these guys bowling less overs in an innings, and fire up in bursts
Watson missing means the other 4 bowlers have more of a workload
I dont mind Danny or even Mitch Marsh playing short term when Watto is injured

PS
Cutting injured out for about 2 months

Looking a bit far ahead but with Christian coming into the test 12 could we be looking at a side like this.

1. D.Warner / P.Hughes
2. U.Khawaja
3. R.Ponting
4. M.Clarke
5. M.Hussey
6. B.Haddin
7. D.Christian
8. P.Siddle
9. J.Pattinson
10. M.Starc
11. N.Lyon
