In 2013 the tenth wicket partnership has scored the most runs in the australian side

Nope the vision and the snicko come from two seperate sources and are then matched up by a producer, they can't guarentee the footage is matched correctly.

Commentators have said numerous times about how snicko can't be used

Haven't seen the incident but can safely say you can't use snicko. That said the umpire can use sound from the footage to make his decision. The worst ones by drs are definitely were the original decision gets overturned with very little evidence. Sad to say but happens with all sports that use video technology, saw an absolute howler in the NRL yesterday

If Clarke can't make runs at no 3 or 4 how the **** does he expect young inferior inexperienced batsman to make them there?
Was Starc left out so Clarke didnt have to contend with footmarks outside his off stump?
We nearly won the Test with Clarke at 4 and we are getting smashed with him at 5
Grow some and bat 3!!!

Love Clarke's captaincy. He's brave and adventurous in the field. But he's not a leader's arsehole.
For the mother f@%king life of me, I can't fathom why he doesn't bat #4.
Khawaja, in particular, is one of the few batsmen we have who has got "it" and should be allowed to find his feet at #6.
Put your hand up, Pup...

Absolutely. Khawaja needs to be given every opportunity to secure his spot. He must be batted at 6 for an extended period before moving up the order when he is "in". I think he probably is a #3 but not when he is going to be in a 1/20 all the time.

I want to type more about our line up, but how can I? We are just shit at the moment.

Snicko, sound, all the same thing. The 3rd umpire just doesn't see the little sound graph.

You know you're in trouble 4 innings into an Ashes series when your leading run scorer is a tail-ender (Agar).

And your #10 averages the same as your #3
And your opener has the 2nd lowest average in the side.

And you have 1 bloke with an average of 35 or more.

SNICKO
This is from Wikipedia

The umpire does not have the benefit of the Snickometer , and must instead rely on his senses of sight and hearing, as well as his judgement.
When the Umpire DRS was introduced to Test Cricket , Snicko was not considered accurate enough.

This statistic should give Australian top-order batsmen nightmares.

31% of Australia's runs this ‪#‎Ashes‬ series have come from last-wicket stands. Yes, you read that correctly. 295 of 939 runs.

as the Poms said on the BBC radio last night the aussies need to open up with the bowlers!

not a bad idea to put up a bowler up the order just to upset some of the precious batsmen

I hope BOOF makes them train all day today!

Seems the poms have cottoned onto our plan of our batting lineup being in reverse order of talent!

If they were the same thing why do they have different names?

One is sound, and one is an image.

Seem like different things to me.

Snicko is made up of two elements

The vision from the TV broadcast and the graphed sound from the mics placed in the stumps (they are not called snicko it is simply a sound graph from the mike, it's the same mics that u occasionally here players sledging on)

When the TV producer collates both pieces and places them together with as accurate timing as possible the 'display' you see on TV is named snicko!

The drs can use the stump mic sound by itself but it cannot use the combination of stump mic and vision displayed as 'snicko by the TV broadcaster

That's the reason why the DRS is not allowed to be used because they can't guarentee the timing is correct and there is no stopping outside being picked up (eg a slips fielder to a spinner making a noise as the ball beats the bat, like we all did as kids) a mate of mine who use to work for channel says they normally try and match the sound and footage from the sound graph which shows a large noise at the other end from the bowler landing at the crease

A word on probability
You have picked 2 scores 20 and 100
Only 2 numbers, the odds of you getting an exact 20 or exact 100 were high odds

My advice to you
Stick to posting on who won the toss , at least you can get that right
