SACA Chief Executive, Keith Bradshaw has this morning confirmed that young South Australian cricketer, Travis Head sustained injuries to his head and back after being hit by a car outside of a popular hotel in North Adelaide last night.

“Ambulance officers were called to the scene and Travis was taken to hospital for treatment. He has stitches in his head and back but was released from hospital this morning and is expected to make a full recovery”, Bradshaw said.

“I have spoken to Travis this morning. Ambulance officers attending the scene told him that the fact he was under the legal limit may well have saved his life. We are extremely relieved that he did not sustain further injuries and is now at home with his family.

“Police were called to the scene of the accident and Travis has provided his full cooperation.”

This doesn't look good for Pattinson at all, I don't think he'll ever play as much international cricket as he should now, he really should one day be the leader of the Aussie attack but I'm doubting if that'll ever happen unfortunately.

If Cricket Australia is only going to allow him to bowl a max of 12 overs in a SS innings then are they going to keep him in cotton wool even more and stop him from playing in the IPL?

I was quoting the article where it said Travis was under the legal limit so I presume he was tested.

The driver has been charged with drink driving according to 9 news.

you don't have to be over the limit to be drunk, it all depends on how you handle your grog. works in reverse too, so many people get fined for "being over the prescribed limit", yet they are not at all in the slightest bit inebriated.
It says because Head was sober (under the limit), it probably saved his life, yet the driver was "over the limit", should he be dead?
