Up there with Salpietro...

Spinners don't win t20 games, good spinners do.

I'd have Putland the first bowler picked all day, for most teams

Not sure who else we have.

1.Hughes
2.Klinger
3. Ferguson
4. Pollard
5.McDonald
6. Theo (Someone form the crowd would be more advantageous)
7.
8.Botha
9. Holland
10. Lyon
11.Tait

Edited to include Theo and Ferg, just need a keeper now.
Tait can bowl four quick one over spells.
Lyon/Holland/Botha the spinners (realistically we won't have Lyon often, and likely Putland will play those games).
Pollard and/or McDonald to bowl the remainder depending on the conditions.

Hughes/Pollard/McDonald can all crack a ball, Theo and Ferg on the odd occasion, Klinger is consistent.

Not a bad side shaping up.

Strikers have just signed Michael Neser and Nathan Reardon.

Bowling looks ok. Batting a tad short but there are plenty off all-rounders.

And Nathan Reardon.

Which district club did Muirhead play for during his time in Adelaide?

I think people are being a tad harsh on Muirhead. Don't forget he is only 19 and was thrown to the wolves in the T20s last year. He wont be and isn't the only bowler who is going to go for runs in a T20 game.

He is rated very highly by Victoria hence the state contract.

Mate, nerves got the better of him, he bowled more full tosses than balls that hit the turf.

Wait what? SACA unearthed 2 spinners in the same season that couldn't get a ball to land on the deck

Top Player at First Class level but can't sustain it for long periods at International level. I suspect he will be in and out of the National team during his time in SA.

In a cruel way, I will be perfectly happy for him to never touch international cricket again, if he scores mountains of runs with the red helmet on.

I know, if his ambition is not to play at the highest level, he shouldn't be putting the white's on at all, but I hope he carves out run scoring records and never gets back to the top.

Wicket to Wicket keeps up the news over the winter and we've added several more yarns, including this ripper video of the demolition of the stands at Adelaide Oval.
